  1. Protecting Seat Bolsters

Posting this here for everyone after replying by PM... The bolster protectors are still fine, they do require tucking back in regularly which is a bit of a pain but not that much of a bother. Rather that than having the seats wearing. The red PU fake leather does get a little surface dirt/dye...
  2. What are your complaints with the type R?

Annoying cabin vibrations, I have a few in my PMM 2019 UKDM, which I've owned from new since 1st August. The worst being the footwell heater pipe/vent in the drivers side dashboard. Others are hard to pin down but sound as if they're in the passenger rear door, passenger A-pillar...
  3. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the FK8 Civic Type R. Available now!

Thanks Josh, I'll make some enquiries.
  4. Presenting the AWE Exhaust Suite for the FK8 Civic Type R. Available now!

No prices given and Honda is not even an option on the UK website... https://awe-tuning.co.uk/products/ The only dealer in the UK and it's about 300 miles away from me. Not really ideal if I want one installed or have any warranty issues after install.
  5. Protecting Seat Bolsters

Absolutely agree on the seat fade! That's why I also invested in Weathertech custom sun shades kit which includes the front, rear and side windows and they are in the car whenever it is parked come rain or shine. I've also treated all the upholstery with GTechniq smart fabric. Can't really do...
  6. Protecting Seat Bolsters

So far so good on these. No movement. Spoke to them about the airbags and they said they did take this into account when designing them. They said they would just tear at the seams if the airbags deployed so they wouldn't prevent the airbags working. They also changed the material because...
  7. Protecting Seat Bolsters

That's always an option. Not sure that would be so straight forward for UKDM as getting those parts is likely to be far more expensive and possibly only available direct from Honda stealerships. I don't know if the parts are available anywhere else in the UK.
  8. Protecting Seat Bolsters

Also I have made suggestions for some improvements and asked questions regarding the airbags and whether they were alcantara in the photos and if they changed that. The ones in their photos and their original designs were on an FK2 so the seats were a bit different to the FK8.
  9. Protecting Seat Bolsters

I'll certainly let you know how they are in terms of them staying in place. They do have wrap around bands with Velcro on the end that stick them in place but some of the edges just tuck into fairly shallow crevices in the seats so they may shift with use.
  10. Protecting Seat Bolsters

I agree they are expensive but far cheaper than new seats or having to pay for re-upholsering. Just about everything for a CTR is expensive though, if we're being honest. They're a money pit for sure!
  11. Protecting Seat Bolsters

I paid 290 Euros for them, he gave me a 20 Euro discount so that if they didn't fit the right hand drive UKDM, it would cover the shipping to return them. If they did fit then he said it would just be a discount. The prices are the following: 1 Set (2x lower and 2x upper covers) – 300€...
  12. Protecting Seat Bolsters

I'm not sure if they would affect the airbags either so if anyone has any input on that it would be helpful to know!
  13. Protecting Seat Bolsters

Got them fitted this morning, fairly easy to fit. Not sure if I've done them exactly as they should be fitted but they seem to be pretty snug and look good. The black material is similar to the back seats but I'm almost certain that in the photos on their Facebook page the ones that are shown...
  14. Protecting Seat Bolsters

If these don't fit the UKDM then I would be sending them back but I could always sell them if you or another member were wanting a set for a lefty.
  15. Protecting Seat Bolsters

They can be a little slow to respond but usually they reply within a couple of days. Just like SWEIDIT and many others like them, they are super busy all the time and backordered and I suspect are a one man (or woman) show so it's difficult juggling time between answering emails and doing admin...
  16. Protecting Seat Bolsters

Made from a red PVC leatherette and a sort of thin foam material with a weaved black top surface and then velcro on the strap ends. Red stitching throughout. Also came with a plastic tool for pushing the material in around the seat when installing. They seem to be well made. I didn't know...
  17. Protecting Seat Bolsters

    Just arrived today...
  18. Protecting Seat Bolsters

Still waiting for these bolster protectors turning up. Taking waaayyyy longer than I expected.
  19. Interior Illumination and Side Markers

Hey just wanted to say thanks again for the link to get the console lighting for my CTR. I did the install yesterday and they look great, well pleased with them! Instructions from collegehillshonda were helpful but didn't fully comply with the install as per the JDM and UKDM. Only 5 screws...
  20. What gas do you use in your Type R?

Minimum I will use is 95 octane but usually use Shell V Power 98 octane for me. In the UK. Always premium fuel.
