My Honda dealer tried to charge me $95 Canadian for a cabin filter. I went to Amazon, spent $11, spent 5 minutes of time and did it myself. What a rip. I only go in for Warranty work because of this crap.
I got kids so Coupes are out of the question right away. And I just prefer the Hatchback Civic to the Sedan so much, that I couldn't bring myself to get a Si. Screw trunks, they're terrible.
Also, I'm in Canada so the Sport Trim on my Hatchback was nicely loaded. I got an '18 Hatchback Sport...
Did you use the right amount of that LiquiMoly additive? Also, the product sheet for that stuff says it looses it's 'flow characteristics' at -20 degrees celcius. I'm in Ontario, and we get down below there. Maybe it's getting sludgy on those really cold days and causing issues? Though it should...
Nice! All those features and a moonroof are on the Canadian Sport trims since 2017, so I got that stuff too. Really love it. I donāt have any Honda sensing stuff, but I hear Iām not missing much.
I drove 3 hours each way to get my ā18 Sport Hatch with 6MT. So worth it. I spend a minimum of an hour a day in this car, so I was going to get exactly what I wanted.
I like the window visors I think, but the moon roof visor is too busy for me. The hatch is already busy enough, especially with that HFP roof spoiler, and the shark fin antenna, and the lower spoiler.
Nice! I like that because you did the whole hatch you get those top diffusers instead of the little top spoiler. The big wing looks better that way IMO, as it's too busy with the big wing, and the top, and the mid spoiler.
That's right, they drive until you stop them. And it is because of the safety issue. Can't have someone's car shutting down on a busy street once they get too far from their keys laying on their driveway or whatever the case may be.
Oh jeez. Iām not trying to get into the nitty gritty of who is qualified or whatever. Around here dealership mechanics are called Service Technicians. I'm just trying to say something pretty simple here, and you're recommending new equipment and now you're going into technician certifications...
Tech just means technician...not sure what the quotes and caps is supposed to imply.
I guess I could get a borescope, but the point Iām trying to make is this is pretty much a non-issue. Itās not something I would ever bother looking at. To keep my resale value high I get the cars dealer...
If you're worried about carbon buildup in your DI engine, take a look at this AAA study which compared gasoline brands. They found that the detergent in 'Top Tier' brand gas leaves 16x less carbon deposits in your engine. They ran some test cars for 4000 miles on Top Tier brand vs other brands...
I do have a small electric leaf blower, and I will blast it into the mirrors and around those small areas. Especially around the trunk of the hatchback, which will 'cry' for hours after a wash if I don't. I don't do the whole car like this though because it'll take forever. Very minimal risk of...
Have them fix it. As others have said it's probably fine, but life will be easier with the right tires. Then your tires match your door jamb sticker, and you don't need to remember this little mix up 2 or 3 years later. Or when you blow a tire and go to buy a replacement.
Also, someone else...
I also wish it could be done remotely.
I don't have a fob cover just so I can get my key out and do the windows up trick from the driver side door. I find it easier than getting in, putting the car in acc mode, and rolling them all up and closing the moon roof.
1. Spray wheels with foaming wheel cleaner and let it sit.
2. Pressure wash wheels, glass, then car from top down.
3. Foam cannon the whole car. Let sit a couple minutes (in a shady spot).
4. Pressure wash rinse from top down.
5. Dirt Check - If the body or rims still look dirty I'll use a wash...
I think the worst feature might be the separate volume for voice commands. I wasnāt aware of it, so I asked Siri for a song and then started cranking the volume up. I didnāt realize that when Siri is talking back, saying āOk, now playing Go by Pearl Jamā, and Iām upping the volume itās upping...
