The bolts get rusty and break off really easy after a few years. Luckily there was enough to grab with vise grips and twist off when it happened to me.
The bolt in the front left closest to the cat and turbo degrades fastest because if the heat in that area.
Also, the dipstick does suck...
Not that this will make you feel any better about it, but at some point it does stop bending.
The other gripe I have with that jack point is just how far back past the engine it is. The civic is too low to get a good jack underneath and see where you are aiming. You have to use ramps, then...
It is the same on the 10th gens. I use a hockey puck on my jack pad now to cushion. Works great.
I know it sounds kinda bad when you drive up on ramps and those flaps underneath start to scrape, but no real harm is being done to them. They just bend and scrape a little bit.
You could make...
In the majority of the USA, yes. The octane ratings they sell in certain regions is elevation and climate related as well.
Sounds like you’re doing what you can with what is available to you.
The Si is premium recommended as well.
You need to be running that 91+ premium only if it recommends. Anything less will just lead to possible head gasket failure and injectors getting clogged. Honda made a mistake trying to let people run 87 on any of the 1.5T models. But asking for premium...
Newer cars just don’t do well sitting for long periods of time, even in a garage. So sensitive to any deviation in fuel. Injectors are so sensitive and get clogged with the slightest bit of deposits.
Does the sport hatch not recommend premium fuel?
Who is just casually dropping 4k on a turbo replacement at a dealership? These repair costs are 20% of the cost of the vehicle new.
That would ruin most civic owners.
I would question how they came up with turbo sensor being bad. That sounds like a poor guess to me.
Head gasket sounds more likely. It is not rare on the models that run 87 octane fuel. Coolant may be seeping in to the combustion chamber at higher RPM and more pressure, but not as much at...
The Si is great in the snow. Snow tires and the LSD turn it into an absolute tank in a couple inches of snow.
Car prices have tanked in the last 6 months. Not a great time to sell.
Is this an aftermarket clutch kit or an OEM replacement?
There is a locking nut behind the clutch pedal in the footwell that can be used to adjust the clutch master cylinder piston stroke. An aftermarket clutch might have a different length of operation.

I’m not a mechanic and my electrical knowledge is pretty crappy. But I did install fog lights on an LX I had back in 2016. I remember there being a couple places under the footwell where they had a bunch of grounding cables all coming together at a single bolt.
Contorting your body to get...
The idea of “Preventative” maintenance is to have the maintenance done before you start feeling the effects and damage of fluid that is no longer doing its job.
It seems like normal play on a stock shifter. You could tighten it up slightly with Acuity rocker mod.
If you are really concerned look at where the shifter cables attach to the levers on the top of the transmission casing. Make sure the bushings are locked in place with a cotter pin and...
If you have a way to get your car on 4 jack stands, it’ll be pretty easy to diagnose.
Follow the exhaust and check the hangars, heat shields, and pipe connections.
