From the cars I have owned, in no particular order for my top tenish: 2007 Lotus Elise, 2008 Lotus Exige, 2006 S2000, 2019 Grand Sport C7, 2016 Miata Club, 2020 Miata, 2019 Ford GT350 to name a few. As you can imagine, the Miatas were not as fast, but such a joy to drive. Although the CTR has...
I’ve owned 64 cars in the past 20 years. My greatest amount of purchases in one year was six. Almost all my purchases have been new. I believe I am solely responsible for keeping the state of Illinois running with the amount of taxes I pay each year on my home and car purchases. Lol
The CTR is a great performing car in its price bracket, that is for sure. I think it is a little too refined and easy to drive. I wish it was a little more raw. It can make an average driver look good. I’ve owned 64 cars, and it’s probably in my top 10 for handling. Maybe around 9 or 10 on the list.
I bought my Hondata new in April 5th, 2021 and have only used it twice. Once to upload a base tune and once again to return to stock. I sold my car so I am selling my Hondata. It is the race version and I have provided photos to show it has been unlocked from my car. Located near St. Louis. $600...
There is no conclusive evidence that Honda puts in a break in oil in their cars. I prefer to flush out the shavings from the break in process and put in a high quality oil early. I have done this with all my cars. None of them have ever burned oil, including my STIs, and have always run strong.
For sale is my 2021 Honda Civic Type R. I bought it new in January of 2021. The car currently has 1,247 miles. It has no dings, dents, scratches and presents as new. It comes extra with all weather floor mats, tinted windows, ZL1 rock guards front and rear. The car has always been garaged, never...
I almost bought an Integra Type R in 98. They were difficult to find, but there were no markups. Most sat on the dealer’s lots. They were pushing the GSRs pretty heavy at the time. The $24k was too much for me at the time as I was just beginning my career. I bought a 1999 civic Si instead.
Interesting enough, two dealerships that I am aware of that sell at MSRP (one local to me in St. Louis and the other out of state where I purchased my car) each have a used CTR on their lot for $5k over MSRP. Maybe their new allocations are dried up.
That wouldn’t surprise me. The quality control on this car is horrendous. I have metal slag by the rear driver side door handle. How it passed inspection beats me.
I did not put a deposit down. I found one for MSRP that I was willing to flight out and drive home 300 miles. With Covid, I had no idea what the market was going to do, so it was an easy decision to take a short flight and drive the car home.
When you call them on a car that is in their inventory, it’s usually in transit and you get added to a waiting list. This past December, I was promised MSRP, but I was fifth on the list with no promise of color or when I would take delivery.
