I was lucky, I had a mechanic that actually lined up the bolts to the wear marks when reconnecting the subframe, and my alignment was perfect without redoing it!
I think it's the opposite: Aftermarket BPV bad, BOV less bad.
Both bad, but I think the BOV is as bad as RevHang delete based off logs. I'd like to see log comparisons of RevHang delete vs a VTA BOV!
I'm gonna stir this pot a little:
1) What if you're using VTA and not replacing springs? As in, a plate? Would the only issue be .1-.5 seconds of richness between shifts, doing harm to your cats and possibly diluting oil?
2) Doesn't rev-hang delete cut off air, putting more fuel than air...
Glad to hear you got it resolved! I tightened mine pretty good the 2nd time and it hasn't happened in a couple thousand miles, but I may find some more serrated/teethed hardware if it happens again, but I have a feeling it was me not tightening enough the first go. :)
A fluctuation of up to 2% is normal. HOWEVER, if you're seeing more than 5-10%, or no reading, I've had this exact issue.
It turned out to be a loose ground on near the intake sensor you piggyback into. I would recommend checking that ground first, but then check the rest of your wiring and...
10,000 miles later, still no issues other than paranoia. I'd say there's a risk of reducing friction coefficients, so definitely a no no of you track. That and harming the downpipe/cats is the main danger
Plate was on prior to tuning. Same AFR behavior in and out of boost, only the transition.
EWG controls boost, BPV/BOV releases it when throttle plate closes and boost has no where to go, protecting turbo from pressure on both sides
I'm not going to defend BOVs or Sound Plates, they're definitely going to make your car run RICH, not lean, however.
Metered air should not leave the system. This means anything that passes your MAF sensor that leaves is not compensated for. So if you have any boost, and the BPV with plate...
Action Clutch Stage 3 and 18lb flywheel, no misfire detections here, pretty much in line with stock, maybe 5-10 more per run, but not enough to throw codes or go into limp mode. Just roll raced it tonight, no issues
Here's what mine sounded like with a muffler delete, compare to the AWE Track Edition also on my channel. I'd say the muffler delete is more aggressive and not very drone-y, but honestly it wasn't loud enough for me. So it might be right for you!
Pulling fuel out, it almost seems like it's measuring air on MAF that's not reaching the throttle body. Either you flashed the RACE MAF while having a non-race MAF, or you're losing air along the way. I'd check for boost leaks or a gapped air connection between the turbo and throttle body. I'd...
If you want just a bit more noise, the muffler delete wasn't obnoxious, personally it wasn't loud enough for me. But everyone has different tastes. I have a before and after in my post history of you think that's a direction you'd want to go. Hell, I have a muffler deleted stock exhaust I'd mail...
Chiming in here! I'm on the Action Clutch Stage 3 plus Aluminum flywheel, purchased through MAPerformance.
Can definitely say that yes, despite heavier pedal, definitely dailyable, and I expect the Stage 2 to be even more so. Even the six-puck stage 3 can slip enough to be easy in first and...
