Update for me since it’s been quite a while.
Current tuned miles driven: 20k+
Current related mods: FBO, W1, Fk8 clutch, always on e30-35
Current tune used: Custom DRob on Ktuner
Issues: None
Tune experience notes: I’ve been tuned for over 4 years now and I’m always on at least 30%...
I’m on a stock alternator with a sundown sfb8k and nsv4 12. I do have a xsd5100r under hood and limitless cyber 12k in the trunk and my voltage stays at 14.4 and drops to around 13.4 full tilt. Knowing the stupid eld would limit output, I went overkill on the lithium and it is working great...
Any suggestions when switching to straight lithium? I have agm up front and in back. Stock alt will be fine to charge? I’m trying to avoid wiring an isolator between my under hood agm and rear if I can just hook it up straight to the alt and do lithium.
You’re biggest issue will be finding a way to let the computer know that positive intake pressure is normal. Not sure you can do it with the stock one. If you want to spend thousand to get a custom wiring harness made and motec or any stand alone management system then that’s your best bet. I’m...
i don’t like the flat face spokes. These curve into the middle. Plus they’re lighter than my tires haha
It does have a spot there. I got a second si badge. Sanded the back down so it’s flat it fit right in the middle of where it says type r. Little ghetto but helps cover up the spot a bit.
thanks man and yea, they’re definitely black rpf1s but not your normal ones. They’re rear face spokes instead of the normal flat face.
Also, 20’ fk8 grill ftw haha
I’ve got over 10k+ miles on my retro so far and I’ve had zero issues and it grabs like it did the day I put it in. Car also made 362whp 310wtq. Can’t beat oem when it comes to longevity. The wait will be worth it, only clutch you’ll ever need.
I got 4 19’ Si wheels no curb rashes with pretty new tires. One wheel is brand new with a new tire. If you’re interested pm me and ill get you pics. I’m located in Santa Barbara area.
There are a few different offsets to give you that lip. Also, the way the spokes are. There’s flat face and rear face. I have rear face which has the spokes go in towards the lug holes while flat face does not. It’s more of a flat look.
Mine are 18x9 +35
Honestly, best bet is get a c1 crate motor or one with engine harness. Then get the plug n play motec kit for it and a really good tuner. L series are at their limits at the power a stock c1 can take with bolt ons. Either way, the swap will definitely be expensive.
