used 2015 M4 with 17000 miles
Truth be told, if I am comparing both cars in a vacuum, I prefer the lighter, more playful Type R. Plus the M4 has this old man smell that I cannot get out even with the ozone machine :)
2 reasons for the trade:
1) just looking for a change after 3 years with the...
purchased june 2019
got up to 50000 miles before trading it in
80 miles round trip commute
lots of family road trips in the car too, put almost 25000 on the car in the last 12 months alone
i canāt believe the day came
i sold it
went to service it, the dealership offered me the same amount i paid for the Type R 3 years, 50000 miles, and lord knows how many rock chips ago
couldnāt say no, rolled that into a trade in
Gotcha, it really didn't cross my mind as something I really wanted to have until one of the dealerships reached out to me
For $45K - $50K, I could be interested
Not really interested in having to negotiate a ton to get it down to that level, perfectly happy sticking with my "regular" CTR :)...
Has anyone gotten a Limited for anywhere close to MSRP?
The dealership I purchased my CTR from emailed me and has the most competitive price thus far at $60K
The other dealership in town has one for $64K that has been sitting for months
The closest dealership to me has one for $70K and claims...
Thanks for the quick reply, that's what I thought
Amazing the spread on pricing for windshield replacement, I've been quoted everything from $350 - $700 for non-OEM windshield glass.
Back to the original question, yes in some ways, the quality of the car does seem to be lacking now that I've...
I have a 2019 Civic Type R. I know there's no Honda sensing in mine. Does the 2019 version have rain sensors in the windshield? As far as I know, I don't think so, right?
I've owned the car almost 2 years now, 20000+ miles on it, first windshield rock chip ever on Friday:
I come out Monday...
iām a big fan of rinseless washing
ONR is my go to product for a good easy wash
1. Opti-Clean = a great waterless wash, i use this as the pre spray on dirtier parts of the car (wheels, exhaust, etc) before i do my rinseless wash
2. wheel brushes = i like obsessed garageās collection of wheel...
i was a new manual driver and learned on the type r
i find watching a ton of youtube videos helps and then the most important thing is seat time in a safe area (id drive around my neighborhood nightly for two weeks before actually taking the car to work)
you can cut the learning time even...
Nice relaxing rinseless wash inside my garage
Debadged after roughly 16 months of ownership
I know some people get salty about debadging. It wasn't done because I'm "ashamed" of the Civic tag. It actually started getting loose thanks to the heat down here (and the fact that I park outside...
i drove a hellcat before this car
i saw a CTR during my morning commute and it stopped me dead in my tracks (i happen to think it looks stunning)
as good as it looks, it drives even better
i really liked the hellcat but i think i like the civic type r more
iāve owned both and this is very accurate
i loved the hellcat but because i never brought it to the track, there are only a few places on the road where you can tap into that power
with the hellcat, it was the first time in all my years of car ownership where i ran my tires down to the wire...
A couple of things:
1) the paint is very soft so if this is a daily driver and you want to avoid rock chips, you will unfortunately need to PPF it
2) I have opted to NOT PPF AND NOT ceramic coat my car. Here are my reasons. In my neck of the woods, to have the PPF done correctly, we are...
