The 245/35’s are almost a 1/2” taller than the 245/30’s. Width is the same. I lost 2-3mpg and my speedometer is off by 3mph. I know because I have a Escort 360C radar detector with GPS that shows speed.
I just put the Mishimoto on my Type R a few weeks ago. Top notch materials, construction, looks great and super easy to install. And the red powdercoated bracket matches the engine cover nearly perfect.
With stock tires, driving 70mph or under I could get 29-30mpg. Cruising from 75-82mph mine would drop to 27-28mpg. But since I put the Michelin PS4S 245/35-20’s on it mine has dropped to 25mpg at best.
Dont second guess yourself. Buy the car, you wont be disappointed in anyway. My 2019 is the best car ive ever owned, most fun, best handling, jus everything. Jus be prepared to put tires on it by 12,000 to 15,000 miles. I went with Michelin PS4S 245/35-20
22,000?? You did alot better than me. I pushed mine as far as possible and replaced them a little over 15,000miles. I will give ya some advice, the Type R is an amazing car and in my opinion only has 1 down side(for me), and that was the CONSTANT worry of destroying a rim or seriously bending...
I wouldnt pay anymore than MSRP no matter where you get it or what year it is. I payed $36,595, the price that was on the window sticker from Honda. And the more crap they put on the car, the heavier it gets. Ive been driving for 25 years and havemt needed any “sensing” or “safety braking” blah...
I could careless about heated seats, adaptive cruise control, blinkers in mirrors, lane departure crap, safety braking crap, wireless charging, a Fender stereo, blah blah blah... The CTR not having these things is one of the reasons I went with it instead of comparable cars out there. Jus stuff...
Well, the dealership replaced it. The reason they replaced it, it was cracked 180 degrees around the circumference of the rotor. I dont know what else you want me to say...... Cant help that ya cant see it in the pic, guess I should have taken a better picture so you could verify the rotor was...
I daily drive my Type R roughly the exact same mileage a year except on WV’s cratered roads, and its a perfect daily driver. It has a few things small things, the main would be jus watching what ya hit with the 30series tires, but other than that, like I said, perfect daily driver. In Comfort...
Ive got 2 bent rims and 4 slick tires. If anyone has a factory set with decent tires let me know. Looking to buy all 4. I know theres alot of em out there that owners have changed wheels and looking to sell the oems.
My passenger side factory rotor had a crack about 180 degrees around it really close to the center. Found it at 13,000 miles. Dealer I bought it from replaced it no charge under warranty. Jus wanted to gove everyone a heads up to check theirs.
