Going in Thursday for the fuel pump recall. But I'm trying to figure out on ktuner how to limit joy rides. Like can I just set the rev limit to like 4k? Already nervous enough with the horror stories of the recall. Anyway thanks for any input.
Currently on ktuner and full bolt on minus the front pipe since, I'm looking at AWE which includes front pipe. Just looking for opinions since flex isn't exactly the best on the stock hpfp. Fuel pump and turbo are coming up soon on my list of mods.
So 5th gear at about 120mph coming into a turn on the brakes and hit 4th a bit too early and watched rpms hit 7600 now I'm concerned. Should I do a compression test or run a scope to look at things? Doing an oil change now with a strainer to catch any stray metal pieces. Just looking for advice...
I have two questions for the guys running high octane fuel and possibly anyone here that tunes the fk8 platform. Let's avoid the money aspect because this is for a weekend fun car and garage queen, so very minimal fuel use 6 months of the year. Focused on power without maxing out the fuel...
Just upgraded from stock intercooler running around 12 degrees over ambient at iat2 to an hks with piping and now I'm running 20 degrees over ambient at iat2. Temp gun on the intercooler is showing about what iat2 is showing. Is the tube and fin intercooler allowing too much air flow that its...

So second time this has happened cruise control set at 70 in comfort mode and the cruise cuts off gives me a flashing red CEL and check oil system warning prompt. Last about 15 seconds then I get power back and it puts me back into sport mode. First time was at 1k miles. And now after oil change...

So I know on the Si a catch can was a waste of money. But now that I'm in this R I'm curious if it actually serves a purpose?
I'm assuming engine is designed the same and it would be a waste of money.
Used for about 2 months and is unlocked.
Cable and stickers in original box.
$350 with shipping included in the US.
Eibach pro kit I bought used with 6k miles and never got around to installing prefer local pick up around Harrisburg, Pa but can ship $180.
Just traded in my 18 SI on the 19 type R. What's the best upgrades to start with? The way I understand it the ECU needs unlocked before tuning so I guess that's on hold. Is the ktuner worth keeping from the SI?
