I just put a 17 si shifter assembly in my 19 sport, every where I read said it was in fact a shorter throw. It feels and looked the exact same. Can anyone confirm or deny?

I've been searching the forums for awhile now but all I see is 17-18 si's and type r tunes for sale? No 2019 stuff. So basically I have a 19 hatch sport and trying to figure out which is best? Can someone point me in the right direction? Thank you!
