Took my 2019 in for service today and went to the showroom to see if they had a 2020. Nope. Then I searched on cars.com and there are no 2020s in the entire Dallas Fort Worth metroplex?
I cut out both resonators and I like the sound. Maybe a little bit of drone when getting hard on the gas but not when cruising or on the highway. Only my kids sit in the back though but they tell me to go faster so I think they like it lol.
I did this too and I like how it sounds but exhaust sound is very subjective so just because you and I like it doesn’t mean someone else will. Just look at all the posts on the forum of people who buy aftermarket systems then decide they don’t like the sound and buy ANOTHER aftermarket system.
Is your exhaust otherwise stock? Some of the people on the other thread seemed to have aftermarket downpipes. I was thinking about this exhaust too but these issues have me re-considering...
I really like mine. I’ve had it maybe 9 or 10 months with no issues. Super easy to install and uninstall (I uninstalled it for an unrelated dealer warranty visit). Significant power addition but I haven’t dynoed it. Honestly though I can’t imagine having much more power it just overwhelms the...
Laggy infotainment.
You can’t have comfort ride and sport throttle response and steering at the same time.
Wheelspin in first and second gears.
Chippy paint.
The side skirts get all kinds of dirty.
Smallish gas tank.
Still an amazing car I’m lucky to own.
Completely agree with this. I can’t understand why Honda didn’t allow for individual adjustments. I can’t stand the throttle response and steering in comfort mode. It would be so nice to have those in sport and the suspension in comfort. Oh well, I’m surviving lol.
This seems pretty common for cars like the CTR, Golf R, STI, etc. They can sell them without allowing test drives so that’s what they do.
If you can find a used one at a Car Max they will let you test drive it. That’s what I did.
Isn’t the JB4 the best compromise? You get decent extra power but can easily remove it and maintain your warranty...
I find I have trouble putting down all the JB4 power on the street. Unless you’re doing a lot of third gear pulls is the difference between a JB4 and true tune really noticeable...
This. You will miss the Rwd ability to rotate the car with the throttle which is so much fun but the type R is pretty much the best high performance dad car out there. So practical and daily drivable it’s ridiculous.
