Update here: I was recently filling up near home and heard my car do its auto lock thing. I felt the pump in the spout and it seemed to be stuck a bit. After unlocking the car with the key fob, it seemed unstuck. I think the capless thing locks when the car locks. I didn't have the auto lock...
Mine does this. Definitely not condensation. I'm just assuming it's stuff off gassing from the plastics in the rear deck. The fact that it's more concentrated where the plastic is closer to the window (ie. the brake light), seems to support this.
My problem was at a gas station attached to a Food4Less in California. Had a nozzle with a pressure sensitive trigger that activated the pump only when the nozzle was placed all the way in thw spout. The second time I filled up there I pressed that part of the nozzle in with my fingers and held...
Wondering of anyone else has this issue or if my visor is just weird: when I've pulled the visor out of storage position and moved it to cover the top of the driver's window, it will swing on its hinge and hit me in the head when making left turns.
Is this just a design flaw, or do I seem to...
The idea is this: pull up to fueling station, turn off car, open door, hit lock unlock lock unlock with the button on the driver's door (note that the last step here is leaving the car UNlocked). Then you can leave the car with the key in your pocket and the doors won't auto lock (and lock your...
For me this was at a pump that required the nozzle to be pushed in far enough to cause a little seal to press up against the top of the tank's spout in order to make the pump work. I was back a few days later and used a different pump that time. I checked the previous nozzle out as well as the...
Had this happen to me a few days ago (third day of owning the car). Sad it wasn't caught during testing. Scary to have it happen while out of state in an unfamiliar area. Fuel spilled out of the spout, too. Looks like paying extra attention to which nozzles you use will be important.
Thanks for the write up! This is what I've been thinking of doing when I get my Civic, but wasn't sure how it'd work out. Using Tasker sounds like a perfect idea.
Any idea how it'll hold up in the summer? It get in the 100s where I live and I'm worried that leaving a phone in the car in that...
Just put down a $500 deposit on an EX-L w/sensing factory order (had to get the color/options I wanted--I'll hopefully be driving this thing for the next 15-20 years). Quoted wait time is roughly 60 days. Saw this thread here and saw mention of the Costco Auto program. That directed me to one...
