  1. Rear big brake kit

The bolt pattern on the ctr hub is different than the other Civics, it may work if you re-drill it but more than likely not.
  2. Shaking...But Time-Based?

at 80k km parts being worn out is pretty unlikely. I guess it depends if you park it by the ocean without any undercoating too.
  3. Shaking...But Time-Based?

Would you happen to have a dial indicator? You could set it up on your rotors and check for warping. I've seen rotors do that sometimes. When was the last time you did a brake service on all 4 corners? That would be the easiest to rule out although from your symptoms it seems like something else...
  4. How expensive would it be to AWD and Manual swap my 2016 EXT Coupe

Hey, if you're able to start a YT channel out of this and get enough subs to actually make you money, then you probably have the skills to do it. Just understand that you'll be sinking much more than you can think in these projects if you want to make videos good enough to gather views and...
  5. How expensive would it be to AWD and Manual swap my 2016 EXT Coupe

I think around 40k with your current car is a good ballpark for stock awd manual conversion. Personally, if you want a 10 sec car(F&F much?), sell this one, get a CTR and then awd swap it. You'll start with a platform that you can easily push 500whp without too much money. The 1.5T is a good...
  6. Cruise control canceling on acceleration

I can put the car in neutral for like 5 sec with CC on and it just holds CC, doesnt cancel it as long as I don't tap the brakes on mine. OP, at least you found out why it was doing it. sucks cause it's an expensive fix though.
  7. Perfect Oil Change Intervals Experiment

Being tuned and changing at 62-6500 miles I'd stay it's starting to stretch. I'm using amsoil because it's not that much more expensive than what I normally ran before and the rest of their product line is also pretty nice. With the other guys that buy oil off me I get the 60$ yearly fee waived...
  8. Perfect Oil Change Intervals Experiment

Your choice, not partial to quaker state, I prefer paying a bit more and know I get good quality oil. I'll never go to the super premium stuff unless I have a built motor either. But if you use it and never had engine issues then it doesn't really matter. Most newer synthetic oils are fairly...
  9. Perfect Oil Change Intervals Experiment

the OE Amsoil is about as cheap as castrol synthetic when you're a preferred customer and since I have a few co-workers that like amsoil, I get free membership renewal every year so my oil changes cost me about 55$CAD.
  10. Perfect Oil Change Intervals Experiment

Lol, I'm on the same crush washer the car came with and just hit 92k miles today. Still no leak. On the note of oil changes, I do mine at 10k km or between 6-6.5k miles. I drive the car about the same as the OP with Amsoil OE 5w-30. It is black when I drain it, but if you've EVER worked on...
  11. Autocross STH Class thread!

Probably would've been better with the same tires all around. With more front grip you would've probably gotten the rear a lot looser.
  12. Led fog lights

Wow that's rough dude, lucky you came out with very little damage. I've had the Diode dynamics sport LED light for about 2 years now and they're REALLY good. 3-4x brighter than stock and their cut-off is super sharp. If you adjust them as they suggest you won't be blinding anyone but it throws...
  13. If i upgrade the clutch in my 10th gen si will i need upgraded suspension

In no type of car ever, does an upgraded clutch leads to the car acting weird under power, requiring suspension alterations.
  14. Wheels and tires on 11th gen sport hatchback

should be, I put 255/40R17s last year on stock suspension and no rubbing. 245 should fit even better.
  15. Wheels and tires on 11th gen sport hatchback

245s will fit no issues if you have the right offset. Konigs also make some really nice wheels and are about at the same price range as the other 3 above. I'm running 17x9 et38 and the fitment is pretty flush so a 8.5 you prob want it to be around 40-45. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
  16. Tires

x3 for DWS06, once this set is worn out I'm going to try the Michelin AS4 just to get a feel for the difference between the 2. I did love the Contis though, awesome all around, even in light snow. They're gonna have given me around 55-60k km including one autox day with 12 runs that wore them...
  17. Times are changing

You bastard lol, I sniffed all the other April fool's jokes but this one. Good one.
  18. Times are changing

Thanks for the work you've done. I'm assuming you're doing this for more room. Hopefully you're not looking at long term reliability... But I can understand why a lot of people buy them, much cheaper than Japanese cars for sure.
  19. Will installing Dynamat appreciably reduce road & tire noise?

Clean the metal properly using either brake clean or a good solvent that won't hurt paint and stick the product on. Depending on what you buy, it may have a surface covered in adhesive or require you to add adhesive. If so, it works like contact cement, coat both surfaces and apply once you wait...
