Running a stock setup and looking to grab these wheels... Anyone running them?
Seem too good to be true(then again the price may reflect that) and don't know much about Stance wheels... Are they heavy? overpriced? bad quality?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
There was a thread where this was mentioned where someone had conversations with metra.
If you have a type r you don't have access to change rev match.
final note hook it up wrong and rev match won’t work correctly. Full stop. So it’s connected whether if it’s in your description or not if you hook it up wrong.
That’s like what I said with a lot of extra words lol. Mine works fine and has but it might help someone else.
Might be simpler to paraphrase though.
It’s not so much rev match as it is the clutch redundancy you have to bypass.
If you do it wrong the remote start may not work or if may start but will trigger errors when using rev match.
Alright well hook it up wrong and I guarantee using rev match will trip the codes.
The emulation of the clutch is tied into a certain range. The Honda tech that worked with the installer is the one that brought it up.
I installed it and the relay went bad and it started tripping codes whenever...
I mean I use them haha. They have to be warmed up to be any good but they’re decent as long as you aren’t in unplowed snow you’ll be fine and I drove through a rain storm to Pennsylvania in those with a ton of construction. They held up well to stop go traffic/pot holes and generally erratic...
They did I believe viper has a module that does that relay in it.
There’s a module and the remote start system. At the time fortin was the only one around that didn’t have a funky readymode and had takeover.
Also. It’s a civicx Forum they’re all 3 years old! Haha
yea the viper modules do what I’m talking about. I worked with the installer at the time to understand what was going on and they worked with a Honda tech at the time.
if you don’t install it or know how they installed it it’s a bit more complicated than plug and play if you’re doing it...
It’s not the same for the other civics. That wire has to have a certain frequency to match the rev match thresholds on startup. My installer had to put a relay in with help from a Honda tech giving the frequency or ohms specified for the relay.

Knows...
Nope
My system is Fortin/Viper
With a relay to manage bypass rev match on startup
My ready mode process is
Put it in neutral
Foot on the brake
Apply parking brake
Get out
My takeover process is:
Get in the car
Press the star/on button
Hit the brake
Drive
Careful with this. You may need to use a relay switch for the rev match.
My module is fortin but my remote start system is viper.
I have full takeover though so my process is neutral foot on the brake when applying parking brake. Get out and you’re good to go. No song and dance.
What brand did you use?
At first no one supported it but fortin. Theres all lower trim civic version and a type r version.
im using a fortin module and viper system. I got it done when it came out though.
also my takeover process is the same as shutting down neutral the car brake to parking...
