  1. Problems

I love how you're speaking in the third person. Reminds me when I was a kid and my mom was pissed at my dad. She talked to me about him when he was standing right there. OP: Please take the advice people are offering you bro. You're not going to get better info anywhere else.
  2. Seat Height Adjustment Lowering Automatically?

A few weeks ago, I started a thread about the driver side seat squeaking near the seat height adjustment lever. I can't remember if I ever used that lever to heighten the seat, but noticed that it was lowered all the way. I pumped the lever once to raise it one notch and the squeak went away...
  3. Result of a Growing Boy

So as my baby ages, and I gain weight, I've noticed a loud squeak coming from my driver seat, bottom left side by the recliner lever. It's loud and is a major PITA. Not sure what can be done, just wanted to vent. If one person suggests losing weight, I'm never going to sign on here again. I...
  4. Burble on Stock Exhaust?

Two completely unrelated threads going on here.
  5. FM radio reception

I live in Orange County, CA not rural by stretch of the imagination, and yes, my FM reception is not ideal for some reason. My others cars, no problem. It's much worse when I'm driving east for some reason. That's my one grip about this car. I have a Honda, Mazda, Ford and Toyota in my...
  6. What psi does your car read at idle?

I just sprayed coffee onto my computer screen and out my nose when I read that.
  7. TPMS

I ran over a metal rod doing 75 on highway. I exited immediately (maybe 1/8 of a mile) and before I felt the car mishandle, the TPMS alarm went off so in my case it worked. Did it light up the instant I hit it? No, took about 10-15 seconds. Tire was destroyed but surprisingly, no other damage.
  8. Drop your headlight bulbs- LED or HID

When I click that link, Amazon shows that alert that says they won't fit a 2019 Honda Civic??
  9. Do I need to reset anything after disconnecting battery?

All settings, trip odometers, blu-tooth connections, etc. were saved. After the car went through a reboot of sorts clearing all the alarms, you never would have known the battery was swapped.
  10. Battery Replacement and Warranty Policy

I have a 2019 Si Sedan purchased 2/19. The original battery would have been 5 years old in a month or so and was still cranking. I decided to go ahead and change it out knowing I'm probably on borrowed time. Went to Costco, standard Interstate 51r for $133 OTD. Right before I purchased it, the...
  11. Do I need to reset anything after disconnecting battery?

Sorry to bump an old thread...dumb question: if I remove the battery, take it to the store and get a new one (to avoid having to go back to get the core charge refunded) then reinstalling 30-45 minutes later, will I have to reprogram the stereo settings or does the ECU hold them?
  12. crappy tiny Honda batteries

https://costco.interstatebatteries.com/home/results?key=auto&ZipCode=90604&l=90604&Program=100500&choice1=2158696&choice2=2159625&choice3=2159632&choice4=2159633&choice5=2159634&Country=US Costco battery has 36 month warranty.
  13. crappy tiny Honda batteries

Same here, February will be 5 years on my current battery. I'm probably going to replace ahead of time before it dies. Costco Interstate batter 51r is $120 where I live in SoCal. I had a 2014 Accord that had the battery die under warranty at 18 months.
  14. Deer totaled my Si, Progressive Ins. is low balling

This happened with my parents when I was in high school. My mom was t-boned and they tried screwing her on the value of the car. My dad said give the car back but they didn't have it. My dad lawyer'd up and it's safe to say she got a much nicer car when all was said and done.
  15. How to find a good mechanic?

Word of mouth. Plumbers, electricians, contractors, etc. I always ask someone I know and trust who they use. That way when I contact them and tell them I was referred by so and so, they treat me well because they don't want to screw up two relationships. Tattoo artists are the exception. I...
  16. Odd shifter feel after rv6 retrofit swap

OP: You seem very knowledgeable with the car, may I ask why you didn't do the work yourself? Much more knowledgeable than myself I might add. Is this a difficult job? Sucks to read your difficulties, hoping it works out. Once you get the help you need here, which I'm confident you will, I'm...
  17. 10th gen Si vs 11th gen Si...My ownership experience.

First, I do not want to knock 11th gen owners in the slightest. I've never driven the 11th or even been in one, but when I first saw the 11th, I wasn't even aware it was an Si. One thing that initially attracted me to my 10th gen Si, before I knew the characteristics of the model, was how it...
  18. Gas fill up then stutter while upshifting.

This could be completely coincidental. I have a 2016 Ford Focus, automatic, that is a complete POC, always has been, but it's got 120k on it and still runs fairly well. My company technically owns it, but it's mine. Anyway, it's an automatic and started doing to exact same thing the OP described...
  19. Is This Clutch Slip?

Hoping OP can keep us posted through the entire process. This thread will help a lot of people in the future going from problem, to options, to price, to resolution, to overall satisfaction of what they went with. Thanks for all the info and expertise while making it easy to understand for the...
  20. New cars that beat the SI You will be surprised !

In OC, SoCal, people really like to race to the next red light. I just wave when I meet them at the next light, like "Yay, you win a gold star for the day because you got here first!" I enjoy my car for the reasons stated above and don't need to make up for small and insignificant genitalia by...
