I love how you're speaking in the third person. Reminds me when I was a kid and my mom was pissed at my dad. She talked to me about him when he was standing right there.
OP: Please take the advice people are offering you bro. You're not going to get better info anywhere else.
A few weeks ago, I started a thread about the driver side seat squeaking near the seat height adjustment lever. I can't remember if I ever used that lever to heighten the seat, but noticed that it was lowered all the way. I pumped the lever once to raise it one notch and the squeak went away...
So as my baby ages, and I gain weight, I've noticed a loud squeak coming from my driver seat, bottom left side by the recliner lever. It's loud and is a major PITA.
Not sure what can be done, just wanted to vent.
If one person suggests losing weight, I'm never going to sign on here again. I...
I live in Orange County, CA not rural by stretch of the imagination, and yes, my FM reception is not ideal for some reason. My others cars, no problem. It's much worse when I'm driving east for some reason.
That's my one grip about this car. I have a Honda, Mazda, Ford and Toyota in my...
I ran over a metal rod doing 75 on highway. I exited immediately (maybe 1/8 of a mile) and before I felt the car mishandle, the TPMS alarm went off so in my case it worked. Did it light up the instant I hit it? No, took about 10-15 seconds.
Tire was destroyed but surprisingly, no other damage.
All settings, trip odometers, blu-tooth connections, etc. were saved. After the car went through a reboot of sorts clearing all the alarms, you never would have known the battery was swapped.
I have a 2019 Si Sedan purchased 2/19. The original battery would have been 5 years old in a month or so and was still cranking. I decided to go ahead and change it out knowing I'm probably on borrowed time. Went to Costco, standard Interstate 51r for $133 OTD. Right before I purchased it, the...
Sorry to bump an old thread...dumb question: if I remove the battery, take it to the store and get a new one (to avoid having to go back to get the core charge refunded) then reinstalling 30-45 minutes later, will I have to reprogram the stereo settings or does the ECU hold them?
Same here, February will be 5 years on my current battery. I'm probably going to replace ahead of time before it dies. Costco Interstate batter 51r is $120 where I live in SoCal. I had a 2014 Accord that had the battery die under warranty at 18 months.
This happened with my parents when I was in high school. My mom was t-boned and they tried screwing her on the value of the car. My dad said give the car back but they didn't have it. My dad lawyer'd up and it's safe to say she got a much nicer car when all was said and done.
Word of mouth. Plumbers, electricians, contractors, etc. I always ask someone I know and trust who they use. That way when I contact them and tell them I was referred by so and so, they treat me well because they don't want to screw up two relationships.
Tattoo artists are the exception. I...
OP: You seem very knowledgeable with the car, may I ask why you didn't do the work yourself?
Much more knowledgeable than myself I might add. Is this a difficult job? Sucks to read your difficulties, hoping it works out. Once you get the help you need here, which I'm confident you will, I'm...
First, I do not want to knock 11th gen owners in the slightest. I've never driven the 11th or even been in one, but when I first saw the 11th, I wasn't even aware it was an Si. One thing that initially attracted me to my 10th gen Si, before I knew the characteristics of the model, was how it...
This could be completely coincidental. I have a 2016 Ford Focus, automatic, that is a complete POC, always has been, but it's got 120k on it and still runs fairly well. My company technically owns it, but it's mine. Anyway, it's an automatic and started doing to exact same thing the OP described...
Hoping OP can keep us posted through the entire process. This thread will help a lot of people in the future going from problem, to options, to price, to resolution, to overall satisfaction of what they went with.
Thanks for all the info and expertise while making it easy to understand for the...
In OC, SoCal, people really like to race to the next red light. I just wave when I meet them at the next light, like "Yay, you win a gold star for the day because you got here first!"
I enjoy my car for the reasons stated above and don't need to make up for small and insignificant genitalia by...
