Love the Civic and the mpg, drivability, insurance cost, ease of getting in and out, etc. But the hot rod inside this 67 year old guy just won't die. Civic will be sold when this arrives late this summer.
Just finished a 1,000 mile drive to the coast of Florida and back. Averaged 44.8 for the entire trip. About 70% was interstate driving and my speed averaged 73-75 mph.
That I had to take a Honda car in for a repair. Started the car today and check engine light came on and dash display said Emission system problem. When I dropped it off told the service guy the AC sucked. It will barely keep us cool when the temperature outside is in the mid 80's or higher...
Not every dealer gives a shit about a review. My local Ford dealer doesnt even ask you to do a survey after purchasing or getting your vehicle serviced.
We owned two Acura TL's in the past. A Civic simply cant compare to them. Different class of cars with different price points. Same with the Si I owned before. Compared to the previous 2 Civics and a Corolla the 2019 is heads and tails better in just about every way.
2019 LX Sedan CVT. First 900 miles my average is just over 38. Most of my driving is a 15 miles trip to town with rolling hills and speed limit of 55. Some interstate travel running 75. I normally coast to a stop when I can but not afraid to floor it.
I just ended up buying one of these:

Now I can plug in the GPS and charge a phone or two at the same time.
If you have a quality buffer and some Cerium Oxide polishing compound you can remove most of the pits. Read up on it and be prepared for a couple of hours of hard work.
Once technology figures out nano batteries the ICE engine will disappear forever. But we are still at least 10 years away from seeing nano batteries in commercial use.
Google it when you have the time.
Anyone ever made the same long trip and used Eco mode one way and compared the results? We had a Camry hybrid and tried Eco and it did nothing to improve fuel consumption
