I ran the line as suggested by bcrichster above and it works. There is indeed plenty of room along the top to tuck in the line. Less so along the side pillar -- it had a slight tendency to lean out so I put a single half-inch piece of black tape in the middle. It's virtually invisible and...
Maybe I'll try. I'm about as handy as a fish though. If there's a way to botch it I can probably find it.
It has to go along the top of the windshield too. I don't think I'd chance pulling down the top.
I can also feed it along there. I'm surprised yours stays in place -- maybe you have a slightly deeper groove. The problem with mine is that the cable was wrapped in small loops in the package and it wants to hold that shape. So when I tuck in more than a foot or so it pops back out. It's...
I see they do have black and gray painter's tape. That might work, although it's intended to be removed within a week or two. I don't know what it would do if left on permanently, especially in the hot interior.
I neglected to say that I wouldn't put the poster adhesive all along the cable --...
I'm installing a Garmin Mini 2. I don't want to get into hard-wiring or removing panels. My 2019 hatchback has a nice little gap along the ceiling and side panel where I can run the USB cable. The gap is deep enough to hide the cable but not to keep it tightly in place. My plan is to use...
I don't think that's the case here. A few years ago my wife's car needed immediate work so she got the inspection at the same time, which was a few days before the month it was due. Her replacement sticker changed the date to the then-current month, not the original.
Thanks.
My 2006 Civic would get to its annual inspection with the oil at about 20% so this wasn't an issue. Back then I was putting on more than twice as many miles as now, and harder miles as well. So my 2019 runs through the oil faster for some reason (or at least MM thinks so).
Maintenance minder is down to 10% oil. Inspection due in March. I'd like to wait until early March to have both done at the same time (due the drive to the shop, bad weather, and the inevitable waiting. Plus I like to get some work done with an inspection because I figure if they're making a...
I've researched dash cams and have narrowed it down to two:
Garmin Mini 2 $130, Smaller, Reviewed at more websites
Thinkware F200 Pro $140, Optional $40 GPS unit gives extra features
Both have good reviews at multiple websites.
If anyone has either of these I'd like your opinion...
No, there hasn't been anything wet anywhere inside the car. I drove through a light rain for a half hour or so but didn't hit any puddles, nor any significant spray from other vehicles.
Yes, everything else is normal. Fortunately I've never lost the speedometer.
I don't think the Sirius info appears there like it usually does when I change channels.
I guess I'll do that. However the problem only occurs occasionally, usually not for days, so it's likely it'll appear normal to the dealership. Having worked in IT for 25 years I know how difficult it is to diagnose a problem when it's not occurring. That's why I hoped someone here might have...
2019 Civic EX Hatch, original owner.
After 2.5 years with no problem, part of my driver display has gone blank 4 times in the last 2 weeks.
Normal:
Blank:
It stays blank until I turn off the car, then so far has returned when I restart
I have 6 months warranty left but before I go through...
I understand, but I figured that unless there was a general issue (such as the weather change described by the previous poster) it's unlikely that all four tires would lose pressure equally. If only one or two dropped the TPMS should trigger, I thought.
