I agree that they are useless but to be fair the manager said that if it gets any louder or worse they will replace the part making the noise. I also don't think it's a case of some do it and some don't - I think it's more a situation of some notice it/mention it, and others don't. I've take 5...
Hey team,I took mine into the dealership in Australia and they reckon it's the pulley system the engine uses, they reckon it's new tech which is why they couldn't factor for the sound and get rid of it during production.

I'm looking at getting a shifter from them as well. Was it a straight screw on or did you need to make some changes for the shift boot to stay where it is?
