  1. Daytime Running Lights even when lights are off?

Like others have mentioned already in this thread, it's entirely up to you and you can do what you want. But honestly there's no need to get defensive just because you're getting responses that don't reflect your views. You're pointing out a concern that no one shares or even cares about. I also...
  2. Daytime Running Lights even when lights are off?

I can see why you're confused about it, but Daytime Running Lights is always on. It's kind of implied in the name. If there was a feature to turn off Daytime Running Lights it would defeat the purpose of it. Might as well have regular headlights to turn on/off as you please.
  3. Daytime Running Lights even when lights are off?

By that logic, you're assuming Daytime Running Lights is something that people turn on. In what situation would you need to turn on Daytime Running Lights?
  4. How is this even possible?! Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic

I've never had a car with a full size spare before. I don't see it being common unless its a large car or truck.
  5. Are all sunshades created equal?

You're right. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I guess you can just color me confused as I've never met someone that lives in 100°+ temperatures think that tints are useless. I have cars with no tints and cars with tints as well. I notice a significant difference based on the fact that my...
  6. Are all sunshades created equal?

You must've never lived in a high temp area. I used to live in the Arizona heat and a dark tint + sunshade makes a drastic difference. Also, like others have mentioned, covercraft custom fit shades are significantly better than traditional sunshades.
  7. Looking for rain guards

What do you mean by stain the window motor? Sounds like something that's external than internal.
  8. Rallye Red Swirls Galore

You should know that CLR is caustic to painted surfaces. They even say on their website to not use it on cars.
  9. Windshield scratches

The glass polish sounds like a good idea too. But generally, you can buy clay bar kits from Walmart/Target.
  10. Windshield scratches

That's pretty weird. I almost want to believe that they aren't permanent scratches. I have an old trick I always do to remove light streaks/marks on my windshield when soap and water just doesn't cut it. Clay-barring does wonders. This effectively lifts the dirt thats stuck in the imperfections...
  11. Windshield scratches

Do the scratches match the movement pattern of the windshield wipers? If the scratches came from a car wash, there would be scratches outside of the general wiper area.
  12. 2017 Civic Hatchback (US market) spy pics

The hatch is definitely more stylized than the coupe and sedan. Yet, something about it makes me really like it. The only thing I don't like is the faux vents. Very similar to the Honda Fit's vent-like things, so can't say I'm all that surprised. This is the first time the Civic has had such...
  13. Red H Emblems, who has them?

Nice. I noticed that your foglight's color looks a little different. Did you apply some sort of film on the lens?
  14. Something cool I found while installing dashcam (wire hiding)

That's awesome. It's not the first time I've heard that the car's interior was basically designed with dashcams in mind.
  15. Thin hood

I'll start getting worried when I actually see a dented hood from someone's 10th gen, but for now I've got more important things to worry about.
  16. Why I'm hesitating to buy a Civic

First of all, no one is trolling. Also, you're assuming that people are going to tell you not to have high expectations for an "econobox" that they bought themselves? This community has always been super helpful and a great place to discuss anything, including occasional issues and concerns...
  17. Concerning all these threads popping up with issues like this is some sort of troubleshooting forum

This. People have the right to seek advice on issues they're experiencing, but the very least you can do is post it in the relevant forum.
  18. Why I'm hesitating to buy a Civic

And on average Elantra sales have historically been about half of the Civic's in the US. Hyundai has probably picked up their sales in the last 4 years though. That should be telling enough of the sample size you're dealing with. Then how many of those Elantra owners are going to contribute to a...
  19. Chipped paint help

Actually it's designed as part of the cap, if you can believe that. It's a white tip that never comes in contact with the pen's paint.
  20. Chipped paint help

The Honda Touch Up pens do have the abrasive tip. I used it on my lower front bumper when it had a rock chip. You just have to be careful not to make the scrape or chip bigger.
