It is the canister underneath vibrating against the heat shield below the “spare” compartment. 99% positive. I pushed the heat shield up and it relieved 80% of the noise. Need to remove the back section to see what else can be done. Good luck!
Definitely depends on the “corner” but, I have taken some inclined switchbacks at 40-45 (staying in my lane). I was certainly pushing the grip limits of the OEM contis, as the rear was beginning to side step. Lateral g-force capability is why I chose this car over some straight line racer.
I had this same problem, it turned out to be the top of the canister vibrating against the heat shield. Pulled it down slightly, and I am hoping that fixes it. If not I’m considering forcing something in the exhaust hangers to make it hang just a tiny bit lower.
I did not find that it was that overly difficult to install given you can get the front up high enough for the FP removal. However, without the proper height allowances this install is a huge pain. I would advise to ensure that the heat shield is not touching otherwise you will gain an annoying...
