Well, I bought a new headlight assembly ($200), but also on Thursday I'm taking the car into the dealership from where I bought it (March '16) to see if they'll maybe cover it under some warranty since it's such a ridiculous fault. I mean, instead of buying a $5 bulb, it would cost probably...
Thanks for the reply, but not sure what you’re saying? I already tried to replace the bulb: it’s impossible as the connecting area is melted and distorted.
Noticed a strange smell coming from under the hood and found my headlight, and what looks to be some on the surrounding area to be melted. Pics below. I’m not really sure how that happened but I have no way to get a new headlight in there without replacing some of it. The light bulb it’s self...
Had the pleasure yesterday of running over the remnant of a blown semi tire on I64 in VA. Jacked up my front bumper (2016 LX, manual) and def needs replaced. To you all that have replaced your own front bumper, how involved was it and what equipment did you need? Would love to do myself.
For what it's worth, I think I would have never noticed this issue had I not read about hypermiling after I got this car. I don't hypermile, to be sure, but I now cruise as much as I can get away with. And I think a lot of people never take their foot off the gas so maybe wouldn't even notice...
Eh, probably somewhere around 25-35 or so, maybe 1500-2000 on the rpms.
Just cruise in 4th, on a stretch with a slight downgrade is best, foot off the gas, watch that MPG meter go from maxed out (which is 80 on my meter) down to like 60 and then right back up. And you feel a lag precisely when...
Anyone having this issue and/or know what this may be:
When cruising (foot off the gas pedal) in 4th gear, I am experiencing intermittent lags in the speed. What it feels like is if I were to just barely put my foot on the brake for a second or so and let off. One, I can feel the car lag for...
On my first full tank that I've been able to fully focus on mpg and I am at 39.2 after 304 miles. No eco mode - haven't tried that yet. This is probably 60/40 interstate to city, respectively - which with I am really impressed. I think I can get that average up to 40.0 by the end of this tank...
This is a thread I was hoping wouldn't come up.
When I got my car I was a little skeptical of the EPB: 'so it's electric... so some computer glitch or fuse problem could cause PB failure... am I gonna forget to engage the PB without that tactile feel and visual confirmation of applying the...
Got the car back last night after 3 days at the dealer. The front, driver's side wheel bearing was replaced and the noise issue is gone . The second, less pressing issue, the whirring sound I suspected coming from a window, is now gone as well though I'm not sure how.
Ordered the LEDs and installed them. Very easy (10 minutes max) with no removal of anything other than the light bulbs themselves. If I had to do it again it'd take me probably 2 minutes max. The kit includes the two lights + a wire connector that joins the lights to the car's socket, and two...
Dudes, the debate is over. I went deep into the owner's manual, and I mean real deep. On page 6,673 in font size 1, I found the official definition of break-in period and I quote: "The break-in is a period after you buy a new-ass car and shit pretty much immediately starts actually just...
