I agree that 18â or 19â wheels (40 or 35 aspect) are more practical but there are places that can repair your rims for far less than the replacement price.
Not in three weeks but I was laid up after heart surgery in 2017 and didnât start my Si for about 3 months and the battery was basically dead. Jump started and it recharged Ok. It certainly isnât silly to run your car A little every few weeks if youâre not using it.
You seem to have the idea that your car will explode or have a catastrophic bearing failure the day the MM goes past 0%. Just schedule your next change some time after you get the 15% warning. The MM works on how you drive and time. With only ~4000 miles i would suggest youâve mainly hit the...
The horizontal kick panels below the doors collect grime really easily and I wash it a lot. I have a white one and the rest of the car never looks terrible, but that gunk at the lower door sills bugs me. I wouldn't say white is harder to 'keep clean'. Many will tell you black is the worst.
I...
I continue to have good success with TireRack.com. Full selection, goodprices, and they'll ship them directly to your installer. I've switched to All-Season tires (Continental DWS06) on a new 19" rim and the last set was about $860 + installation charge.
I just got new rubber for my CTR. Wheels are 19x8.5 (FlowOne F4, 34 offset) and tires are 255/35ZR19. You can tell they are a bit offset outside, but no rubbing and I would think the wider track and wider contact patch should give a bit more cornering performance. The sidewalls are nicely...
I know everyone says to never use a drive through wash, but I really like my âHi-Speed Car Washâ in Atlanta. They have some good wax stuff (Nitro Bond) and the goo they spray on the wheels/tires wipes down to a nice shine for the wheels. I have yet to see anything that looks like a swirl or...
I also found this:
âParking Brake. You may hear the electric parking brake system motor operating from the rear wheel area when you apply or release the parking brake. This is normal.â
This sounds like the parking brake uses just the rears WHEN PARKED even though the emergency use while driving...
my 2005 Si Hatchback was stolen from my apartment parking lot in 2012. It clearly must have been a tilt bed truck as there was no broken glass and I doubt there was some electronic key duplication. This is what insurance is for and I got a generous settlement from Progressive, more than blue...
Where are you getting +60 as the OEM offset for the CTR wheels? That seems like a very large number. When I shop for any wheel at TireRack.com the vast majority of wheels have an offset in the 32 to 45 range with a 54 as the largest value I saw anywhere.
Like I said, I put these FlowOne F4s...
Unsure what the difference is, but these FlowOne wheels fit the CTR perfectly with the 245/35ZR19 tires. A centering ring is used, but the isn't anything funny looking at all about the fitment.
