  1. New Civic. Overthinking "Miles til empty"

Makes sense. Was just surprised it didn't start at 33mpg×12(ish) gal tank =396 til empty when odm is at 6. Instead started at 335 miles. If I'm averaging 39 mpg that reset better break 400! Thanks for the info and optimistic clarification. =]
  2. New Civic. Overthinking "Miles til empty"

90% highway. 20 miles of my commute. I have a big incline and then I'm steady 70/75Mph mostly downhill to work. If the gauges are accurate, even Econ helps on the freeway, but I don't put much faith in that.
  3. New Civic. Overthinking "Miles til empty"

Cool. Thank you! I'm sure at 30 miles driven so far it has nothing to go off of concerning my driving habits yet. The dash is showing 39.9mpg so far. =]
  4. New Civic. Overthinking "Miles til empty"

But the miles to E isn't based on much at first. Does it recalculate when the tank is refilled using how much mileage was actually driven on the last fill up? Maybe the dealership didn't fill it up all the way before I drove off.
  5. New Civic. Overthinking "Miles til empty"

Hello everyone. New here. I'm probably getting ahead of myself, but just got a 2019 Civic LX. The fuel range is at 335 miles, but the mpg average is supposedly 33mpg. I'm assuming it would actually be around 395 miles in a tank. Anyone know how the initial countdown to E is calculated...
