They appear to be. The head lights look the same and the bumper looks the same. There's probably a Honda tech on here that can look up the part number to see if they are indeed the same. I know Gen VIII Coupe and Sedan both had different bumpers and head lights.
I had Borla on the last 3 of my Hondas. I liked them all. The '07 was paired with a Comtech header. It sounded good but there was some interior drone. I miss that car.
The new Miata remind me of the early 70s corvettes, just smaller. I like them because of it. Other purist might think it is a ripoff of the corvette design, I consider it an homage.
I've noticed here in the states that cars that are rear-ended get repairs and color matched however, the badges don't seem to be reapplied. Make sure it wasn't in an accident.
At least you weren't auto-crossing and had a gator-aid bottle fall into the driver's floor board and get wedged under you brake pedal. Didn't happen to me, thankfully. Just relaying the story.
I drove my '91 Prelude the entirety of HWY 101 from Olympia, WA to San Diego in '99. It was a great drive. Took me 5 days to go down and 2 days to get back taking I-5.
