I agree. Did a NY to Florida trip and it made the drive so pleasant. I'd mix it up a little just to stay alert - ACC to no cruise and back. I'm so spoiled now, that I don't think I could buy another car without it.
Around 3 weeks ago I had it done as well. In answer to your question, no, it has no effect on performance or mpg. It’s more of a preventative measure.
Thank you for the great advice and for putting my mind at ease. Hopefully the love bugs won’t present too big of a problem. Great job cleaning up your girl. What a mess!
Off to Lowe’s...
I'll be driving to Central Florida (from CT) next week and will be spending a week there. Any suggestions on the best way to control/clean these love bugs while on the road?
Lol. I was like “WTF?” when I read that.
It would be hilarious if that guy went on a car forum that he belongs and started a post with, “Today I saw this white boy driving a Civic...”
My CVT is smooth as silk and not noisy at all. I'm very impressed with it.
Can you provide a link showing that 2019 1.5 turbo Civics are suffering from oil dilution issues?
I have an EX-L which is essentially the same engine as your, and I go with the recommended regular unleaded, 87 octane. That is the optimal. Anything above that is a waste.
I also had a BMW 3 series in the past and couldn't be happier with the value, style and performance of my Civic.
I noticed a lot of former BMW owners in this forum who feel likewise. What's that tell us?
I don't know man, I usually get the opposite reaction. People can't believe how much bang I get for the buck. They usually comment on how attractive it is, and those who get in are amazed at the overall quality and comfort.
Screw the haters; they're probably jealous.
