This is almost exactly what I've been experiencing the past number of months now. I've recently been suspecting maybe it has to do with the bearings, cuz I've read they could last up til around 100k miles. I'm just about to hit 95k, so I'm thinking maybe it's time to just replace them. It's been...
I've just recently gotten more curious about this for my car. I'm nearing 75k miles, and have started to wonder if our valves ever get caked up much or not. I saw in some threads, that people say the way Honda made these engines, they get some fuel onto the intake valves to help keep them clean...
Interesting notes from you guys. I have kind of forgotten to keep an eye on the AFR the past few weeks, so I'll keep an eye on it for curiosity-sake again. Particularly since it has been warming up a little where I am at and it makes me wonder how much a difference the temperatures may make on...
Haha all good for the 'thread jack'! Doesn't bother me one bit :p
And thanks for the replies! It makes sense that the battery reading on the Ktuner wouldn't be the best indicator for if the battery is bad or not. My knowledge in battery/electric/circuits isn't the best yet, so I presumed a...
Hey all, just a quick question/interesting observation. I haven't paid attention to my battery voltage (via my Ktuner v2) until just recently, and I noticed that my battery voltage would drop to around 12.3-12.6(ish) while under throttle (light, heavy - any throttle level, really). Idling is...
Yea mine kind of varies in length, but typically it's within 15 sec that I see my AFR goes back toward 15 ish. I'm still on my stock tune, so I will be curious if the same thing happens when I do tune my car. It does seem like it's for cooling though, since it doesn't happen usually when I'm...
Overall yea I agree with the general sentiments people are listing out here. I do think EVs will be the future; but in the more near-future, it'll probably be mostly hybrids for awhile, with ICEs dwindling and EVs increasing. It'll take quite awhile though - both economically but also socially...
Did u ever use a camber kit for the prokit?
Oh interesting that you get some rubbing? I am also on the Pro-Kit and the 20/25mm combo, and don't seem to have rubbing. Only difference seems to be coupe vs sedan :p
I am trying to get a better alignment and my suspension inspected, since I do...
Hello all,
Just had a potentially quick question - not the most concerning but it's been a thing I have noticed for awhile, and would be curious to know if anyone else has the same thing, or similar, going on. (Relevant parts for reference: PRL CAI (street), AWE touring exhaust, OEM downpipe...
I've been considering silver, bronze or white. Black is nice and all, but I agree silver gives a nice pop to the blue. Black kinda just melds in and gets hidden with the tires imo lolol
Definitely makes sense! I haven't (fortunately) had any similar issue with stutters in low gears. Def sounds like a lemon in that case, which is so unfortunate. Glad you had things covered under Honda though! Thanks for the info and whatnot!
Oh interesting so for that stuttering in 1st thing, was that while you were actually in gear, and essentially engine braking (clutch out)? Or was your clutch still disengaged and it made the weird stutter and sounds? Just super intriguing to me as to why there would be things like that happening...
Not too bad for the effort saved from doing it ourselves. I'll consider a brake fluid change and see how much it may cost somewhere. Much more than that and I'll prob just do it myself, for cost savings but also just more experience to learn ?
Nice, yea I use AMSOIL and have had good experience with their MTF so far. I'll be swapping to AMSOIL for my engine oil as well when I change my oil soon, and hopefully the car likes it!
And yea, sucks how our clutch is fairly weak, and not sure if that weakness translated to premature wear on...
Oh dang, do you think the transmission failure had anything/much to do with being tuned? I've always seen how our clutches would likely wear quickly, but haven't heard too much regarding the actual gears. I was late on my first MTF change at 30k miles, then did my 2nd so far at about 58k (I...
I'd be curious as well. I've yet to change my brake fluid and I'm nearly at 70K ? Brakes are still as sensitive as they were when I got the car 3 yrs ago (maybe some thanks to engine braking most the time). But I'll be changing it soon for good practice.
Did anyone ever get a hard number for...
Interestingly enough, I've been having positive STFT and LTFT (generally around 6-9% STFT and usually 3-7% LTFT) recently. I was wondering if it was partially due to humidity here, since there has been crazy dense fog each night the past week in the PNW. Also hovers around 30-33F at night on top...
