Iām too used to BMW pedal placement to unlearn the habit of having my feet in a bad position for the Si. If I center more over the brake itās not so bad, but itās still awkward.
I've tried it in all 3 positions and recently took it out. Moving the pedal closer to the brake is great, but it's too high. If it stayed closer to the same height off the floor as stock and just moved over, it would be great.
That looks great! I'm with you on wishing I'd gotten 245s instead of 235s last time I bought tires.. How is the brake pedal feel with the Brembos? I'm pretty disappointed with how soft the OEM feel is, especially right off the top.
The only bolt-on I have is a Mishimoto intercooler. I haven't tuned yet. The main reason was lower intake temps. It gets hot and humid in the summer, to me the additional cooling capacity is good insurance as well as a good performance enhancement that will help even more once I up the boost.
I got the eagle exhilarates on today, went with 235/40. Seeing them now, I wish I'd gone with 245/40. There's definitely room on the wheel for a little more meat with these. First drive impressions- good grip on the cold, wet streets; very quiet, noticeably softer ride than the stock summer...
I'm about to be in the market for all seasons as well and was looking at these. Appreciate the review, and the 245's look great, OP. I've noticed my speedometer is about 1mph slow, so upping the size would almost correct that. TireRack's review of this vs the Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate was very...
Update to my earlier post- now that itās summer and my AC is having to work itās hardest, thereās a significant amount of vibration at idle. Anything above idle and itās perfectly smooth.
Mine does this as well. Itās intermittent/random, I canāt identify any consistent factors that cause the extended crank. When it first started I took it to the dealer and they replaced a battery cable. Iām at about 30k on my ā19 and it still does it every so often.
Just installed mine. At the risk of shading into hyperbole, this is easily the best $30 I've spent on this car, and it is hard to imagine a better $30 being spent. Install is super easy, Perrin's instructions are spot on, and the improvement is night and day. I was getting tired of the...
