  1. 100k miles experience

Thanks for the report. Glad it’s been a great car for you. I better get going. My 18si just passed the 5k mark.
  2. My 10th Gen Si handles better than any previous Honda I have owned.

Mine too. This car feels so planted. Like a go cart.
  3. My brother's Sport Hatchback Touring 6MT vs my Civic Si

Very desirable model imo. I have an 18 SI coupe but would love an mt touring. I’d want to keep it forever too.
  4. How accurate is the oil life meter?

gtman I don’t drive it in winter and no stop and go driving. Rural here and always at least 10 miles per trip. leads me to believe the time factor is dominant.
  5. How accurate is the oil life meter?

My 18 si mm first time said change it at 1800. I now have 4000 mi. And it says change it again. Approximately every 2k? Wtf. No short trips. I would bet if I changed it now and didn’t drive it for 10 or 12 months it would then tell me to change it again with zero miles On the new oil.
  6. What did you cross-shop and are you happy that you went with the Si?

Almost went with a Toyota 86. SI was a lot better deal. Have to say I like the looks of the 86 better than the SI but value wise SI wins no contest.
  7. Should I buy a 2020 Si????

Buy it. It’s a great car
  8. Difference between CVT "STD" and CVT "Avail"?

Just means you can’t get a manual transmission.?sad
  9. Honda should have made an Si hatch

SI Hatch would be a winner IMO. I definatlely would have preferred it to my Coupe. Sedan was out of the question for me style wise.
  10. What is it about the civic

Wife bought a 83 hatch new when we were first married. about 6k otd iirc. was impressed with the little Civic's reliability. I have seven cars now but my winter DD is a 03 Civic with 250K. Just so economical and still fun to drive with the 5 speed. Had no hesitation buying my 18 SI. Just knew it...
  11. Cargo Liner for Si Coupe w/ Spare Tire Kit

I agree with BugBoy. Seems perfectly natural. Don't miss the reduced space at all. And the peace of mind of having a real spare is comforting. The inflation device that the car comes with fits under the pass. seat nicely. And you still have that option if you choose it.
  12. Anyone have a tip for drying/washing those honeycomb areas (pics incld)

It's dry enough to paint cars with but ok.
  13. Anyone have a tip for drying/washing those honeycomb areas (pics incld)

I tried the leaf blower. It works ok but compressed air works much better.
  14. What if the Si was offered with an Auto/CVT transmission?

Why stop with the SI? Put an auto in the R too:thumbsdown:
  15. What if the Si was offered with an Auto/CVT transmission?

A sad day indeed it would be for the SI. Terrible downgrade. Erosion of the brand. I trust Honda is smarter that that.
  16. I got my car back!!!!

Awesome. I bet it feels great getting it going again. Congrats!!!
  17. Short maintenance service intervals?

My oil life was at 15% with 3000 miles on the odometer so of course I changed it
  18. If Honda brought back the two door hatch

I certainly would have preferred a 2 door hatch. But still, I'm happy with my coupe. A low miles 95? 2 door Civic hatch came up recently on Craigslist but I passed and it sold quickly. When I later mentioned it to my wife she got mad and snapped "WHY DIDN'T YOU BUY IT"! LOL
