  1. Lacking Character - My (long) Si Review

My Fusion isn't a perfect car. It is not particularly fast, but it handles pretty well, has a really nice interior, is loaded to the gills (leather, Navigation, Sunroof WITH a 6spd manual transmission) and its a great highway cruiser for all the traveling I do across this country. I've clocked...
  2. Lacking Character - My (long) Si Review

I rarely post these days because I try to give Honda the benefit of the doubt...but it is really upsetting when you have a brand that has the ability to do SO MUCH and SO MANY great things and they continue to fail and stumble because of a lack of direction. It's like a teacher who has a kid...
  3. Lacking Character - My (long) Si Review

Honda's already admitted that the 1.5t was used to save $ and the HP was limited because of reliability. Each time they do stuff like this the first thing they mention is "value" or "value for the money." Who are they? Hyundai? Kia? Remember when Honda just built the best product available at a...
  4. Civic Hatchback Configuration Tool is FINALLY fully functional

You can now choose colors, add accessories and see those accessories on the cars with a 360 view function. http://automobiles.honda.com/civic-hatchback#build-price
  5. Official: All new Civic Si to debut at LA Auto Show next month!

I guess we'll find out in about 3 weeks. I hope its a 2.0t as well, but with Honda you never know. :( I'm just eager to see the SI sedan and coupe. I'm pretty sure at this point I'm buying a Mazda 3 hatch or a crossover SUV. Stil got a sweet spot for the Civics and Accords though
  6. Official Honda Civic Hatchback press release pics for Paris show debut

That might be believable if Honda Canada wasn't already offering a Civic Sport Touring 6MT. I frankly don't have any faith that an SI hatchback is coming.
  7. Official Honda Civic Hatchback press release pics for Paris show debut

That's exactly how I feel. I'm intrigued by the Hatchback...though I admit I'm not crazy about it's styling, but I refused to choose the CVT. I like the way Mazda is carving out its lineup with the 3 though. For 2017 the base Sport 2.0 and 2.5GT sedan come with a stickshift. The hatchback...
  8. Official: 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Arrives This Fall w/ 1.5-Liter Turbo, 6-Speed MT, Apple Carplay

No, some of them are actual Honda employees. I only know of two or three who actually sale the products. It's not uncommon for automakers to have people frequent enthusiast websites for feedback on product, issues with product, etc.
  9. Official: 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Arrives This Fall w/ 1.5-Liter Turbo, 6-Speed MT, Apple Carplay

According to Honda.ca: So theoretically one could import a Civic (or Accord or whatever Honda) across the border and maintain the warranty...If you can provide all of the information required above. I guess I'd have to move to Canada, establish residency, go thru all the financing, etc. Wait...
  10. Official: 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Arrives This Fall w/ 1.5-Liter Turbo, 6-Speed MT, Apple Carplay

I already proved (with my two Ford purchases) that I didn't want the car bad enough. It's not worth it. I'm not spending $25K-30K for a car, driving it from one country to another, voiding the warranty once it crosses into the US border. Makes absolutely no sense to have to go thru all of that...
  11. Official: 2017 Honda Civic Hatchback Arrives This Fall w/ 1.5-Liter Turbo, 6-Speed MT, Apple Carplay

I've been convinced since 2014 that Honda USA does not need or want my money. I've bought two cars since my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L 5spd sedan. I've tried to shop Honda on two occasions but the product packaging has made it far too difficult. Instead of having 2014 Accord and 2016 Civics in my...
  12. Unofficial Civic Hatchback Trim Level List

Found this over at vtec.net Not sure how credible it is...but I suppose we will find out soon enough about the Hatcback trim levels. http://www.vtec.net/news/news-item?news_item_id=1286845 Going to be interesting to see how the Sport and Sport Touring models turn out. It appears that the...
  13. CNET's Roadshow - Civic vs. Elantra vs. Corolla

The Cruze should have been included too! From all the reviews I have read (and the few comparison tests I've seen) the new Cruze is rated higher than both the Corolla and the Elantra. I'd take the Civic over them all, Mazda3 included...though the Mazda3 is a CLOSE second.
  14. The Si hatchback

That's exactly how I feel about the "delay" of the SI as well. I think American Honda lobbied for a detuned 2.0t.
  15. The Si hatchback

I don't mind if the SI (or even the Type R) is offered with some sort of automatic as long as the 6spd manual is still available for those of us who prefer them. I also don't see why Honda shouldn't offer the SI in hatchback form. Most of the SI's competitors are hatchbacks anyway. I'd think...
  16. Is it worth waiting for?

honda has already said the SI and Type R will come out in 2017...I'd bet on a debuts sometime in the fall of this year. I'd at least wait until the EX-T 6spds hit the lots in the fall...or try to keep the 02 running until the Si can debut...it will likely be worth it.
  17. New 2017 Civic Si Coupe Render

Design a sedan version! PLEASE! Thanks in advance!
  18. 2017 Honda civic Si Wing

I want a nice clean lip spoiler.
  19. Civic Hatch on sale in late Summer...

The fall date is for the SI....Hatchback is still on track for July..at least according to him.
