It’s just not a very good layout... it’s actually horrible an there’s really nothing you can do or aftermarket the way the turbocharger is on the car there’s no room... only way to really improve a type r is to really hack the car an most won’t do that

These cars just heat soak way to much for me even to get into them over bolt ons it’s just not worth the aggravation... save that for the guys that really get into racing them an even they will tell you... an if they don’t there lying... but they will always be fighting something on this...

I think a lot of you guys are stripping your thread on the shaft. By running the locking nut further down than you have to an it’s ruining the shaft. Just a thought that locking nut only move a couple turns if that no more to get the knob or ball off
