Dude! Mines does the same clunk noise over big bumps. I thought it was the spare tire.. but the spare was tied pretty well. I still don't know what it is, maybe the rear crash board is coming loose? I have to drop the rear bumper and check.
I have a 2016 with 62k miles and I'm an uber driver in NYC. I literally drive every day in every weather condition. And so far..
i had a transmission oil pan leak (fixed by dealer; said it came undone from too much nyc potholes)
Replaced both CV Joints under warranty. (I think i messed up my...
Lol, dude you have no clue. I'm an uber driver, so I'm practically up and down these streets everyday. The types of "potholes" I've seen shouldn't even be characterized as pothole. They are freaking craters lol imagine driving over a sewer manhole cover, but without the cover. I swear I never...
Thanks for your replies guys. And yes I do sport Michelin tires and they make a huge difference!
I had a mechanic suggest Monroe sensor tracks, but I dont know if they have anything available for the civic. I might just get newer oem shocks. I remember I replaced the front drivers side once...
Hey guys,
I turned my 2016 civic touring into an uber car in NYC. My stock suspension is past its prime. And I feel like its worn and too soft at this point.
Any recommendations on what I should upgrade my suspension to?
Everytime I look at coil overs it's for people who want to race or...
About 44k miles. I had no idea I had to even change the transmission oil before I had the oil pan leak. Lol
Update: so the delay in shift response went away after pushing the car hard on the highway... I guess the oil just needs to heat up?
So then how do I check if they overfilled it? Because they literally overfill everything (previously; brake fluid, engine oil)
I also noticed that there is a cvt delay when going from Reverse to Drive... or from anything to Drive. It usually takes around 2 seconds to kick into drive... but now...
My civic started to take a whole 5 seconds to engage from Reverse to Drive after I did a transmission oil flush. Can it be that the dealership overfilled my transmission oil.. causing a longer lag?? Before it was alot quicker... like maybe 2 seconds.
I cant even do illegal U turns without...
Hey guys, I've been driving my 1.5L Touring and while doing an oil change I noticed oil residue under the transmission oil pan.
Took it to the dealer and they agreed to fix it under warranty...they said it's just the oil pan gasket. After the fix, I was reviewing the paperwork and it says that...
I just got a performance exhaust and I wanted to rev it. While the car is moving forward... I shifted into Neutral then revved the engine... it went to a crazy high rpm very fast (faster than it would when in N and not moving) it also made a crazy load sound. Then I pushed it back to D after the...
Hey guys, I know I'm a little late in this thread but I do have a question. I just got a performance exhaust and I wanted to rev it. While the car is moving forward... I shifted into Neutral then revved the engine... it went to a crazy high rpm very fast (faster than it would when in N and not...
So I recently got the MagnaFlow performance exhaust installed for my civic touring. I love how deep it sounds. But I have 2 issues with it:
When I rev the engine, why does it sound like the sound is coming from underneath the middle of the car area and not just from the tips. Is this normal...
Yeah, makes me wonder if that piece serves any other purpose other than to shield the radar from debris and direct light. I mean, it looks just like a plastic film to me.
I'm asking because I want to do a hatchback front bumper swap with my sedan. But I have Honda sensing... so i want to make...
No, I'm talking about the hatch back. Not the coupe.
The hatchback price for that part is $127

While the sedans is $26

Btw, does anybody know if that plastic "do not paint" cover serves any other purpose than to protect the radar? Can the radar still work if that plastic was removed? I'm just trying to figure out why that piece would be so expensive for the hatch... but dirt cheap for the sedan.
Thanks for asking, they fixed the car up. Ended up costing the dealership another 8 - 9k. Thank God this one is on them. I've been driving the car for about a month now and it still drives the same after all that. It's still zippy and fast. I'm still beating mustang's in traffic. The only real...
Hey guys, so after being rear ended twice, the second time being the dealership service department valet service...they offered to fix the damages for free. All they had to do was fix the trunk door and change the bumper.
Fast forward 3 weeks later, after much nagging they finally rushed my car...
Hey guys, I'd like to give an update to this post. Turns out it wasnt totalled and it cost about 8k for the damages. But hold your horses for this part... the dealership that fixed the car is Paragon Honda in Woodside, NY. They offer a valet service which they deliver the vehicle to your address...
Called insurance, adjuster said he doesn't know if its totaled or not until he sees the car. But he did say not to take it to the dealership now because it won't sense of it is totaled. He wants to come take a look at the car by my place.
