I’m curious how honda found out you were tuned?
Did you tell them out right, bring the car in with mods or an active tune?
Or did they proceed with there own scan to come to the conclusion?
I barely drive the car, it’s a weekend grocery getter. The issue has diminished significantly since I put the stock down pipe front pipe back on. I rarely notice smoke now if at all. I’m thinking about getting rid of this POS that Honda calls a civic. After review of others posts from the past...
I can’t answer that, I guess it would all depend on driving habits. I’d just like people to know what They may be getting themself into and then they can decide if that is something they want or not. I’ve actually purchased and ran the clutch myself. However, I wish I knew it had no option to...
Sure it holds more power, but actually it’s a hack way to do so, and one of the worst ways by far to go about holding power if you care about your transmission lasting a good long time of course. If not and you have money to waste then have at it.
If your worried about longevity (Transmission wise), and you drive hard, Emans clutch isn’t for you. His retro fit doesn’t allow use of a pilot bearing or pilot bushing which supports the transmission’s main shaft from vibrations and spinning true.
They type-r’s transmission has a different size...
I understand this isn’t “normal”. Yes the car has mods. Intake, FMIC, DP/FP KTUNER TSP 1. However, engine smokes a bit after prolonged idles, and WOT ..which is most likely the turbo, but maybe the exhaust valve seals. compression is great 215 on all four. I plan on upgrading the turbo anyway...
Could someone please point me towards the proper tool to remove valve springs and retainers (on 10th gen Civic SI) .
I'm looking to replace valve stem seals in the very near future.
How about this...
Any idea on pures Ps2 track record for civics? Seems like boring out a small turbo to upgrade internals may end up cracked or break as well. But I really have no idea. I have reason to believe that my stock turbo is leaking some oil out the hot side and burning. The car only has 18000 miles...
You are correct search “TORQUE MANAGEMENT”
PFI SPEED has a video on YouTube outlining this subject. Dyno runs were completed before and after mods.
Gains were initially provided by mods but subsequent pulls revealed power being pulled to some extent. However, still Not completely sure if heat...
Your are fool, why do you keep going on, why do you hold Eman on a pedestal? Do You Just love to stroke him, or are you his spokes person? My input shaft Indeed reaches the flywheel because I had a custom insert made to make up for the differences in FW dimensions why is that so hard to...
