  1. Saw my first 11th gen in the wild

Nose of 11th hatch does looks oversize, hopefully they'll get around to shortening it. Otherwise, it's more akin to 10th Sedan, but with an actual hatchback instead of a trunk. For my next car, I doubt Civic will be my replacement, since Kona N, Elantra N and GR86 are tough acts to follow...
  2. Saw my first 11th gen in the wild

11th Hatchback design is going to be more agreeable to the 10th gen crowd.
  3. Saw my first 11th gen in the wild

It's a tight margin to get real fun from the base powerplant (with 6mt) and given 11th bigger and heavier chassis, doubtful. So, 2022 2.0T Si is the only thing that'll keep me in the Honda family (Type-R's too expensive).. A 1.5T Si for 11th Gen would NOT be enough of an upgrade, when Kona N...
  4. Performance Upgrades 2.0L Civic CVT

Trade it for 6MT version. That transmission is tough of enough to brake-in the most unskilled wannabe.
  5. Need some model advice

For kid, get the 2022 CVT Hatch with 2.0L engine... Very little chance he'll get into trouble with that configuration.
  6. Road Warrior Saga

I you get window visors, you could crack the windows and not worry about dust or rain.
  7. 11th Gen's are slower than 10th Gen's

Tires or weight distribution. Longer wheelbase means less weight on the front tires. If you take about 100lb off the rear of Gen11th and put on the same rubber, the 0-60 would be the same. That being said, for the base sedans, dynamically it wont keep up with the GenX, which is well tuned with...
  8. K20c2 questions

LSD on K20C2 isn't worth the trouble. doing some late braking, while going into the turn (in order to get the nose pointed in the right direction) is enough to make LSD redundant. Base engine with manual transmission and lighter weight is perfect combination to be faster then its parts, since...
  9. K20c2 questions

A side effect of a lightweight K20C2 with 6MT manual, is above average fuel consumption. I don't.. think CVT has the same ECU. Nitrous shot sounds very interesting. It'd solve the problem when the pesky Si wont let you pass on the straights.
  10. K20c2 questions

13.7 pounds RPF1 rims was a huge upgrade for K20C2. UHP tires can beardly keep traction from a in gear pull (1st).
  11. K20c2 questions

Don't need Si transmission for base 6MT, it's already basically the same transmission. If you blow it up...which is extremely hard to do, just replace with the same one.
  12. Any hypermilers here?

If country highway and K20C2 6MT, 43-44 mpg is easy (that's with AC on).
  13. Sometimes just saying sorry and being the bigger person will be helpful for everyone

Still risky, the guy with the dash Camera could accuse you for actually braking and causing an accident when you're just flashing the brakes.
  14. Sometimes just saying sorry and being the bigger person will be helpful for everyone

I've got more childhood rage then anyone else I know. From experience, if I'm cut off or have a slow driver in front of me, I take it out by passing them with aggression...assuming that I'm in a rush, otherwise I'd call him/her 'something' and skip to a better song on Spotify. It's the...
  15. Sometimes just saying sorry and being the bigger person will be helpful for everyone

Never happens to me. Always a duchebag who gets more bothered when you're brown and he's white. Yesterday, I had one in my blind sport while trying to merge onto the highway. Tried to power in front of them, but he guns it and closes the gap. So had to tuck-in behind him. Then he brake...
  16. 2018 Honda Civic: Transmission oil became black after 5500 kilometers, lost power, jerks

Some transmission oil have a dark color. I used to get it all the time with my 2008 RAV4 since oil is purplish when new.
  17. Any hypermilers here?

Hyper-mill tune would require the engine return max power at lower rpm. My K20C2 is noticeably more responsive at lower rpm (sub 1500rpm) when given the expensive fuel (less filler for octane). It's this low rpm response that makes it possible for me to maximize on the hypermiling. Given that...
  18. Lemon 2019 1.5T

Get insurance to cover it as rodent damage, cause it'll probably cost a shitload to fix. Problem with dealership, they're just a bunch of monkeys that know how to replace parts and eventually they'll get there....even if it requires replacing everything.
  19. Traction Control

It's harder to program TC when car is equipped with LSD. Base 6MT Sedan doesn't need to do the song&dance to completely turn off TC. Assuming stock dynamic (which is spot-on for base 6MT), TC will only cut power in a real emergency situation.... e.g. I always over-cook it at turn 9 at TMP...
  20. electeronic brake system problem.

6MT LX here, and E-Brake is bullet proof. F the sensors, its for people who don't know how to drive. Rear back-up camera is all you need. If you're a capable driver, all those garbage sensors (meant for people who are clueless while driving) will ultimate cause a situation when they get old.
