Been getting kind of curious after looking at my logs-
What is the difference between MAP and TC psi and what is the relationship between the two? All I know is that they both respond to the target and I'm assuming the TC probably stands for pressure of the actual turbo.
Slightly off topic..
Pro tip- try not to drive IN San Francisco. Congestion is horrible, bikes/people/cars will ram your civic, parking costs $40+ per day, homeless people will ransack your car, etc. Just uber or use public transportation.
I think so too, I just want to take advantage of our tools and the knowledge of the people here.
I normally drive around with tunerview on to see stuff, but this is going to be my first time doing a log and actually having it analyzed.
Hmm I think the on board function will save it to the V1.2 and then I get it on the computer from there. I'll give it a try in the morning and then see if I can upload the log here in the evening.
I used tunerview from my phone to do the log and I'm not quite sure to get it converted to the ktuner format. Is it even possible?
Tunerview does have an on board data logging feature in the flash menu that I have never tried, is that how you did it?
I tried looking at this for a while, but I started to realize that I don't really know what I'm looking at. So far I can see that STFT bounces around, LTFT is -2 or -1 the whole time, and AFR is 14.4 when cruising. These are all just observations and I can't draw any useful conclusion from it...
It's true, but the difference comes from how much more likely a failure is stock vs modded. A lot of people think light mods marginally increase this chance, some might think any mods exponentially increase the chance.
It kind of depends on where someone finds themselves on this scale that...
Yes we do have those thoughts. Sometimes mine are mixed in with reverting to switching to another car altogether... it comes and goes though.
I know that fixing a blown turbo or cvt costs less than another car. I could probably repair my civic a few times and still come out ahead vs buying a...
Used to be concerned about the CVT, not so much anymore. Then I had a rod concern phase after some users messed their engines up.
Now I'm mainly concerned about the turbo lol. I think I psyche myself out by being hyper vigilant of any sound the car makes!
Aw.. crap. There goes the solution I thought I had!
Slightly off topic- how does one know they have a boost leak? Aside from not making boost of course. Can you see this from a datalog?
I know the OP has a pretty detailed story, but I'm not that well versed in all this stuff yet.
