  1. Mitsubishi drop in turbo upgrade for CTR

Very interested to see how the numbers would be with a stock exhaust. Since piping is smaller, as compared to a 3" exhaust, kindly do let us know how the response(in terms of lag etc) is please - if you have a comparison. Many Thanks!!
  2. OEM FK8 Type-R exhaust tips

Just 2 quick questions.. 1) So by implication, it does hinder airflow and rob horsepower? 2) Would the deleting of the resonators cause Drone?
  3. Mitsubishi MHI Drop-In Turbo Upgrade - FK8 Civic Type R

Does anyone have before and after WHP and Torque results using this turbo? 'Before', as in using the OEM turbo and "after" as in using the MHI stage 2.. Super curious about the spool times as well as the WHP and Torque achievable. Kindly do specify if you're using a fuel pump (XDI or Hondata)...
  4. Overheating & What You Can Do To Stop It

Just a thought.. I could be wrong. A more dense / thicker oil would be able to absorb more heat and would heat up slower as compared to a lighter(0W-20 for eg) oil. I.e we might see a temp rise faster in a lighter oil vs a thicker oil. Just as a thinly sliced steak cooks faster than a thick...
  5. Mitsubishi drop in turbo upgrade for CTR

Hi bro.. Not yet.. Still wanna see how it performs. If I get a turbo it'll have to come with the Hondata fuel system.. So that's like $6000 extra! Increase in power = increase in heat. So more cooling mods.. Like radiator.. Anything personal please pm me.. Thanks.
  6. Mitsubishi drop in turbo upgrade for CTR

Hi bro.. awesome info.. Could you kindly explain what you meant efficiency was higher in the MHI please? Were there any other benefits(i know this is nit-picking since they are both really good turbos, but just curious) that MHI had over the Rampage other than the efficiency? Spooling times...
  7. HONDATA fuel system upgrade

That would be awesome. Thank you and looking forward to those posts! Thanks again for your replies.
  8. HONDATA fuel system upgrade

Thank you for your quick reply. Sorry, meant the Hondata Fuel System... Did you guys by any chance use a turbo blanket &/or Ceramic coating for other exhaust parts when measuring the dyno numbers? Also, do you see the Stock Exhaust system a limitation for the Hondata Fuel System? Thank you.
  9. HONDATA fuel system upgrade

Hey Hondata, I like your dyno charts, but unfortunately there are some countries that don't even have ethanol fuels(like mine?). What kinda power figures would you get for the following please: PRL's HVI + IC + Titanium Inlet pipe catless DP Stock Exhaust Water-Meth 50:50 Hondata's fuel pump...
  10. OEM FK8 Type-R exhaust tips

Thanks therealdarkknight.. Just a quick question - and anybody can answer this.. what are the 2 portions that are circled on the exhaust? -Do they restrict airflow? -If they do, can "anything" be done to it? -Should anything be done to it...? (kinda looking for max power from the stock...
  11. Mishimoto vs Takeda Intake (FK8)

Just a suggestion - when sticking with a certain area (eg air/engine/exhaust etc) stick with one company. Reason being - they tune and machine every component together and you most probably get the max power that way. ( I know some may disagree and I get that...) But if you're going with air -...
  12. Civic Type R fuel system upgrade

Does it still apply in the following situation as well?: - Running 98 Ron with 50/50 water/meth Thank you..
  13. Civic Type R fuel system upgrade

just curious guys.. if let's say we're upping the power via a turbo say the P600 from PRL or something from the borg Warner EFR range.. would a new fuel pump like what Hondata's "going" to offer be "necessary". Power range would be 400-500whp... ( I know that Hondata used an upgraded turbo in...
  14. Tire choice

Was waiting for the torque figures... you gotta go at leastAD08R or RE71R.... and at least 255s... RE71R are lighter... No point pumping up the power and going ice-skating..
  15. Rear motor mount - first / only mod -

Hi fatherpain.. just a quick question if you don't mind - why not put those washers at the "metal" end of the RMM as well? Do you feel it'd just get ripped up? haha Thanks.
  16. Rear motor mount - first / only mod -

I agree on the reduction of wheelhop.. and that's kinda why I went with 27Won... Coz i heard that increasing power would cause wheelhop.... Sorry hpbyhermann, spend the $30 on what please? What inserts are you using please?
  17. Rear motor mount - first / only mod -

Hi fatherpain, just one more quick question. I got the 27won RMM. The Hasport has polyurethane on both sides(I think.. could be wrong.) BUT the 27 Won has it only on 1 side... so NVH is probably going to be an issue on the metal side more than the polyurethane side... any ideas what to do for...
  18. Rear motor mount - first / only mod -

Sounds awesome... Thanks again fatherpain. I did get the shifter cable bushings and the full shifter set, from Acuity, too... Just haven't installed it yet hah! Thank God for that... So I guess i gotta get some non-hardening silicone lube now b4 doing the install... How often do you recommend...
  19. Rear motor mount - first / only mod -

fatherpain, thank you so much for your help. I just hope 27won's RMM would have the same results. Guess what? I have the Acuity Shifter as well!! lol. Which part of the shifter did you apply the lube for the again? Just the cable bushings? Which part? Just curious... Did you apply the lube...
  20. Rear motor mount - first / only mod -

Wow.. You used that little? And there was no NVH? Does it always remain in a gel-like form? Do you think we should apply more? What brand did you use? Which would you recommend? Thanks a lot for the pictures.. Appreciate it! I was thinking of using the polyurethane spacers to absorb the...
