I stumbled across this thread while searching for this exact problem I'm having with my 2018 Si. I guess there's no fix to this problem and we just have to baby/feather the clutch until it warms up.
As a side note, I have the Honda engine block heater installed and noticed that, when the car is...
That's very impressive, but I wonder if it's possible to get even better mileage if you were to drive at 60-65 MPH. Reason I'm asking is because, in my almost 3 years of owning my SI, I'm averaging 41.2 MPG of mixed city/highway driving. My all time best was 51 MPG of just highway driving ...
Clutch bouncing when the car is cold. Wouldn't be an issue in a warmer climate, but when you live in a place where it's cold 7-8 months of the year, it gets so annoying.
What wattage did you use for your rear turn signal resistors? I am trying to buy 2 resistors for the back turn signals and don't know if I should go with 25W or 50W each. Thanks.
I was actually very surprised when they called me from the dealership to let me know that they're covering the cost of the repair. The lady actually said something about there being a recall on the brakes ... so I guess that's why they ended up paying for the repair. That and the fact that I had...
So I take it that's the "normal" operation of the clutch in cold temps? I can't say I'm happy about it especially living in Canada where we get cold temps for at least 6 months/year.
I'm experiencing the same thing and it only happens in 1st gear and only when the car is cold. The jerking/bouncing stops after shifting from 1st to 2nd a few times (usually 4-5 times until the car warms up a bit), and then once the car is warm it's all good. I've never experienced anything like...
I agree that you won't need to service the car as you haven't been driving it, however, you may want to park the car in the garage or at least move it up and down the driveway so that your breaks won't seize. Last year I parked my car from May until September in the driveway and when I drove the...
Totally agree. I would never buy a black car because of how hard it is to keep clean. Gray will still hide some of the vents, just like blue. The worse colour for our cars is white. Those vents stand out like a sore thumb on a white car.
I totally agree with this. When I bought my 18 Si, I locked in at 0.49% APR for 5 years. If you compare that to the average 5% - 6% APR you get on used cars … it more than makes up for the up-front price difference between new and used. In addition, when it comes to these "enthusiast" cars, I'd...
Love:
- LED headlights … best I've had on any car. They are exceptional, not only in normal night conditions, but also at night when it snows, rains and/or in foggy conditions.
- Fuel economy - averaging 39.6 MPG in almost 2 years of daily driving, both in the summer and winter
Dislike:
- Not...
I have aftermarket LEDs in both map lights and dome light, but other than that everything on the car is stock. There's also no mechanical issue with the switches (as far as I can tell). The car has never been in any accident and all lights worked fine with the LEDs for 3-4 months now.
Has anybody experienced this issue where the dome lights randomly come on … either right after you start driving or randomly while driving? I started having this issue a couple of days ago and don't know how to fix it. What's odd is that the rear dome light can't even be turned off … not even...
Drove the 2.0T Accord Sport before buying the SI and I really liked it, but it just didn't feel as nimble and as sporty as the SI. It did feel faster, it was quieter and seemed more refined, but for me, it just felt more like a highway cruiser than a tossable car that you would enjoy on a...
