Wow this post is still going on....It probably wasn't even racing but just spirited driving. I was just testing my shifting because these cars powerband are different then what I am used to. So I shifted around 5000 rpms, I let off after 60mph. Take it as you will.
Usually All stock mufflers have some sort of restriction because of government regulations. Also their I am sure after market catbacks that are lighter.
We were at a stop light and mine is a 2018 si with about 500 miles on it and the other car is a subaru station wagon type not a wrx, but it seemed fast. Anyway we both are neck to neck when the light turn green and I amshifting like crazy haha, I start to pull after 50 mph and he just turns off...
Just wondering if running 13's in the 1/4 mile is possible with our cars. Keeping the car mostly stock minus computer tuning some mods and lightweight parts.
I just read where we are limited what we can do with our cars meaning, bolt on parts will not produce much gains compared to just tuning it. I am new with the civic so would like the correct info. Is the stock intercooler much of a restriction, is it worth to purchase something else with better...
Just wondering where the turbo lies. Looks like straight down when hood is open. Is there any mods that can be done with it or the inter cooler. I just read where someone did their own stock air box mod. Some of the hoses look accordian which could restrict air flow.
Still learning about this car, does the sport mode give more boost and timing to achieve the 20psi factory spec? I am wondering cause sometimes clamps could be loose and their could be a boost leak. What about free mods? Sorry for the questions still learning car.
