thanks! So a map is like...just a "setting" that affects your "D" gear and the other gears just affect the map in the same manner they affect it un-tuned? And you just switch maps on the fly? You don't need to be stopped or anything?
That's good to hear! How do you install custom tunes? Does the unit come with it? Does it automatically change your gears(D, S, L, ECO) into different power settings or how does that work? Can you make ECO mode what used to be the regular "D" setting? Is it easy to play with what gears do what...
Are you running stock hardware? I've been debating a k tuner for years but am so nervous about it. I don't have the money saved for a new car or serious repairs if I fuck something up.
Edit: have a stock 16 ex-l coupe. 1.5t CVT
I'm looking into buying a k tuner, but I'm a total newbie when it comes to this kind of stuff and am still in the researching phase. Anyways... What is lost with this product when you buy used? I thought when it's unlocked/reset its the same as buying new save for any wear and things like bumper...
Sorry if this a dumb question given the title and the company's name, but are these for type r only? I figure there's a chance Honda made these interior lights more or less the same across different trims. I have 16 coupe EX-L and the kit is definitely catching my eye.
This guy over on XDA figured out how to get his unit to run fast. I haven't tried it, it's definitely dangerous messing around with some of these things but if you're confident you can follow his instructions exactly it might be worth a shot. There is a risk of bricking your unit. You have been...
Edit: My guess was wrong. Disregard.
It would make sense that the camera is static and only sends one signal and then the different "angles" you can choose from on stock are done by the HU(basically just cropping and adjusting the picture coming in). If this is in fact the case, the only signal...
I run Spotify and Waze simultaneously. Both apps installed on the HU. It's a *little* sluggish, but certainly not intolerable. Running Honda Hack with parking bypass lets both apps have full functionality, which I will argue is safer than fighting the ridiculous limitations put in place by AA...
Play services or play store? It's google play services that slows you down, you have to go into the "install online" option in HH, and install the uninstaller(lol) to remove play services, then reboot your head unit by holding the power button for 5 seconds, not just turning car off and back on...
With HH, yes you can add it to your home screen. Not sure about stock. Not even sure stock will be able to run the apk, it might require root permissions. If so, you still might able to allow that by turning developer mode on? My model won't flatten the DSP/EQ so I never really played around...
I am, but as I said, I'm one of the unlucky few who are unable to flatten the DSP/EQ. Maybe you can put it on a USB and install it without HH, though? Search through the thread and I'm sure the answer is in there somewhere...
It doesn't work for every model(mine, for example). If it works for you do a search for dsp_flat.apk on the xda forums and grab that. It's just a script that does all those steps for you.
Step 1 - Go tot he diagnostics menu by holding Brightness, Power, and menu for a few seconds.
Step 2 - Tap Detail Information and Setting
Step 3 - Hold Menu to bring up the third menu
Step 4 - Hold menu again until a menu saying Factory Diag shows up
Step 5 - Select Syscom Free Mode
Step 6 - Use...
No, using a 2-ohm speaker will draw more than the amp can (or wants to) handle safely. Using an 8 ohm speaker will be safe, but you'll experience a lower volume. You could run multiple speakers in series or parallel to change the total draw from the amp, but I don't know enough about the stock...
That was interesting. People still use "SWIM", apparently. The feds will never crack that code.
More seriously, you need to uninstall google play services or your HU will run very slow, unresponsive, and cause DA launcher errors and reboot cycles. It's not just that it will annoy you, but it's...
AFAIK there is no default key for clearing cache. You have to remap your steering wheel controls if you want a button to do that. Alternatively, clearing memory and/or internal storage are options in the optimization menu.
Last I heard, no one has had any luck getting Google Assistant to work...
What versions are you using? At the very least, they need to be compatible with android 4.2.2. so you can't just be using the latest versions. Apart from that, if it's still not working, check cmdroid. They're for hr-v I'm pretty sure, but it's a better baseline for compatible versions than...
