I just got this too. I'm going to exclude myself from this lawsuit. The extended warranty is pretty much useless. It's a wear issue, issue will crop up later, not now. I bought this car to be dependable in the long run.
Don't know if it's worth getting my own lawyer, but I'm going to demand one...
Just finished a similar build.
I used 4 Gauge Wire and an LC7i.
I also bought metra harnesses, and made a T Harness so I'm not splicing into the actual OE wire.
I also installed upper trim sail panels with Tweeter cutout and installed a Morel 6 Maximo Component Speakers upfront.
Amp and sub...
I attempted to keep steering wheel controls and backup camera on a Sony double din as confirmed by crutchfield that is should work.
Neither would work fine, and all the freaking adapters that are included to make everything work was really off putting for me. Returned everything and and LC7i...
2018 Civic Hatchback w/ factory stereo
Does the bass roll off with volume increase? I'm having hard time figuring this out.
If it doesn't this really opens the door to replace my LC7i with a DSP.
If it does I'll just look to keep what I have I guess
2018 Civic Hatchback Sport
Recently installed an LC7i to retain factory radio and an Amplifier with speakers.
I want to play loseless files over AUX or USB
I have an Android phone so I can't use the USB...
So what are my options to play over AUX without a new Headunit?
I didn't like the stereo, but it was better than other stock systems.
I bought sail panels from the upper trim Civic that have factory tweeter mounts, added Morel 6 component Speakers, LC7i to retain that factory stereo, and an Alpine PDX-V9, with a soon to be GS12D2 Woofer to the trunk.
Installed my stereo finally. I have my LC7i in my glovebox, grounded to a bolt attached in this picture. I have a little crackling going on once in awhile.
Haven't sanded it yet, going to do that tomorrow and crimp a terminal ring on, and check the amp ground after. If anybody has a better bolt...
I would avoid a head unit upgrade. I got so sick of adapters not working right, the wire mess, etc.
Installing an Audio Control LC7i to retain factory stereo, all of its functions, and gain the ability to hook up a sub/amp.
If you don't want to splice into OEM Wiring, these kits below will get the job done with a little work.

I had to remove a few pins from the non stereo connector, and add a few pins to the stereo connector. Takes some patience, and a dental pick looking thing to unlock the pins...
Man what a roller coaster.
The female connector that connects to your car, didn't have pins in the right location for an OEM setup.
Thank God there was another female connector that I think is used to get the backup camera working? Anyway took the pins from that, and rearranged some pins in...
Got the pins out.
Used a dental looking pick to extract them. There's a slot under each pin, just had to slide and poke up and the wires slid out. Time to repin
I got one pin out with a paperclip, but it was def forced, and the clip on the crimp is bent.
Anybody have a guide on how to remove these easier? Most of them are for larger pins, these ones are freaking tiny so it's hard to get anything in there.
Paperclip was almost too big for reference
Just got the 71 and 70 harness posted earlier.
One harness is filled with wires, other has only half the wires I need, and some extra stuff I'll throw out.
Just going to remove the unused wires from one harness, add them to the other harness, and I'll be good to go! They should push out with...
I would highly recommend getting an Audio Control LC7i, and use that to connect to an amp/sub.
I'm about to finish my install this week finally.
Retains factory radio. I'm never installing an aftermarket Headunit again.
Got a Sony AX5000 pre wired to prevent issues, and I still lost half the...
OMG I literally got off crutchfield the other night, showed them those, and was told those were just got aftermarket installs UGH
Ordering now, thanks.
Attempting to splice into my OE harness without actually cutting into anything.
Any female and male connectors for this car with leads so I can just connect them, and wire up everything except for the speaker signals, and I'll use that for amplifying and sending amplified signals?
Sweet found that it needs a 2A fuse. Anyway to tell what fuse location I should use that won't give power 24/7 but is an accessory one?
Love how clean this installation is going to turn out
