After all of my research, I bit the bullet and went with the Retro, cmc, and PRL braided clutch line. Yes, it costs more. Yes, it's a long wait even once you do find it available on his website, but peace of mind and performance was my goal. Almost no difference in pedal feel, and no bad reviews...
Man, you're not kidding, not an easy task. Took me most of the day without any breaks.
2/3 of the way there all ABS and happy af with the results so far. Diffuser is on the way now.
Just keep checking his site until one becomes available. I nailed the CMC about 2 weeks after the clutch and requested to have them shipped together. Oh, yes...you need patience because he's very busy. But he's a good guy and it'll be well worth your wait.
Good Luck.
My mechanic has been doing Nissan and Honda's for years. I fell for the Amsoil hype as well. He swears by OEM tranny fluid and Royal Purple motor oil for tuned cars.
I checked the NA Performance website every day for two months before I was able to land both the clutch and cmc. Even then, it took another month for delivery. I just had it installed on Friday and although it was an expensive and time consuming process, I'm glad I did it. What a...
This car has a 6th gear? :hmm:
Seriously, I think I've been in 6th twice in the year I've owned my Si.
Then again, I haven't been on many very long trips.
I find 5th adequate for the highway and always down shift to 4th for acceleration due to the tune and the cheesy clutch.
Btw, good luck with...
It's extortion, plain and simple. Governments pass arbitrary laws all the time under the pretense that it's for your "safety" or a "war" on this or that.
Seat belt laws are another example of an arbitrary law to "protect" you...from yourself! Sure, while a motorcycle cop writes the ticket?
No...
Needed a car asap when my old crossover died in '17.
Leased the LX mainly due to looks and gas mileage.
I couldn't help but be tempted by the Si's but my girl won that battle.
LX got totaled, then said eff it, and grabbed a red Si coupe.
Told my girl I'll have to forget her
Rather buy me a...
First off, congrats and seems like you had a great time. Question: I've been shopping around tracks here in NJ. Seems like Englishtown doesn't guarantee the instructor will sit with you every session.
Seems like yours did? Was this a one-day event? I may make the trek to VA if it's worth the...
Finally got mine on. Only gaps I have are on the side, but very slight. I reduced them drastically with a heat gun and muscle, and I'm pretty sure if I keep at it, they'll be gone.
I'll wait for the warm weather as it's way to cold now. Was a little upset at first for buying this right before...
