One second thought i don't think you need to cut the cable to the regulator if youre replacing it. But you do need to reach up in there with a flexible 10mm wrench to unbolt the glass to the regulator. Then figure out a mechanism to hold the glass up while you remove the regulator
Hey so I just got done replacing the regulator. The problem was ultimately a bad motor. If your window is closed up like mine was, you will probably have to cut the cable on the regulator. That was the only way I was able to get the glass out.
Overall, the replacement wasn't too bad, just a...
thanks for the tips, i'll give it a shot this weekend. what can i use as an external power source? I have an external jumper pack but not sure if that would work. Im thinking the motor is bad because I can hear the relay click when i use the driver or passenger window switch
Is there some sort of visual diagram I can go off of? From what I saw on a video, the bolts that attach to the window regulator can be accessed by shifting the window down. Unless you mean I should be able to reach up and do that though a little trickier
I thought so too but after fiddling with it many times and even trying the stock speakers, it ended up being a faulty head unit that I got replaced under warranty
I'll give it a shot, but I'm almost certain the window regulator is busted because it was already acting up where it would sometimes go down / up but now it stopped completely
Front passenger window regulator stopped working. My window is stuck up. I have seen videos where you need the window rolled down about 1/4ths of the way down to get access to the bolts holding the window. With my window stuck up, how do I manually lower the glass ?
