So connecting those two wires to the reverse signal wire on my head unit will not trigger the camera to go on automatically while in reverse? I am using a Pioneer NEX head unit by the way.

I installed Infinity Reference speakers before I got an aftermarket head unit. They didn’t sound any better than stock. However, I installed a Pioneer MVH-2300NEX head unit today and they sound phenomenal. They are excellent speakers at a great price ($120 for all four).

That's odd...Yes, I wired the harness to the stereo harness. I am not totally sure what went wrong. It looked like a lot of the wires don't connect to the leads on the harness in the hatchback e.g. constant, ground, etc.

I just ordered the 70-1731 harness so I am hoping that one works. Thank you for the information. I didn't even know this one existed. I've only ever seen the Nav harness.

All of the wires don’t match up from adaptor-to-adaptor if that even matters.
