After reading all of the threads about how great the Ktuner is, I’m ready to pull the trigger on a v1.2. However, with the Canadian winter right around the corner, is it still worth it to get it now or should I wait until the spring?
Obviously the increase in power becomes irrelevant when there...
Coming from an 8th gen Si as well, it all is going to come down to how the car feels. I always said my 8th gen was like a little kid who just drank a Redbull. It's a car that just wants to be driven hard every damn second of the day and it just makes you want to rev out to 8k every single gear...
Maybe this will be valuable to someone someday. My dealership handed me this today after my alignment. The black lines under the arrows are where Honda's alignment recommendations are.
Is it just me though, or does anyone else find it odd that there is a difference in camber by 0.5 degrees...
Has anyone driven with Amsoil Synchromesh during the winter (Under -15 degrees celsius type of winters)? I've been seeing small comments about other people hearing rumors it wasn't good during the winter.
I do know how different the Type R is from the Si, I'm just curious if it is a positive difference overall vs a negative difference and would paying the extra amount be worth that difference.
I'm not only thinking about monthly payments. That is just the difference it would cost on a monthly...
So my dealership has recently offered me an upgrade to the Type R but I’d be looking at about an extra $200 a month for the car.
I currently have the Si and was planning to do some basic bolt-ons in the near future but now I’m curious as to whether just going to the Type R would be a better...
Keep in mind to the turbocharger differences are probably a decent factor in the power differences. The majority of the time stock turbos aren't built for power from the mechanical point of view so as much as you tune the stock turbo you have limitations to say what a garrett turbo could...
My previous 8th gen Si wasn’t the easiest to wrench on but still doable.
Reading DIY posts of guys doing suspension upgrades seems to be a pain in the ass...
Is it difficult to mod or work on these cars? I was hoping to make a little weekend track toy out of my Si over the long term but I not...
I personally use both. Parking brake and in gear that way all tires stay “locked up”. But I guess these new parking brakes lock all the wheels up anyways and not just the rear
I’ve never seen 93 at Costco here and the stations are significantly cheaper as well. I personally don’t use it in my Si cause the lineup in itself to just get to the pump is horrific and I still can’t find any info on who supplies Costco with gasoline.
Is it just me or does anyone notice their car lunging forward (like stalling out) after you turn the car off in gear?
I always turn my car off while I’m Neutral, push in the clutch, put it into reverse or first and then release the clutch. But everytime I do that the car lunges as if nothing...
When I had my 8th gen Si and installed a flashpro I had the notorious knocked issue post tuning. To combat it I tried going up to Petro-Canada’s (Suncor) 94 octane gas and that decreased the knocking significantly with Shell’s 91 gas having a little more knocking than the 94. Esso 91 (uses...
No, as stated before it was from losing the drain bolt.
Surprisingly and I guess to Honda’s credit for making great motors, I drove it for a couple months before it began to overheat and knock.
The 2.0 Accord was the loaner while they replaced the motor. I preferred the Si much more simply...
