  1. Just verified Sonic Gray 2019 CTR coming

Doesnā€™t seem that absurd considering weā€™re ~1.5 months away from MY19ā€™s rolling off the assembly lines
  2. Possible new 2019 CTR color ???

You know what else would be nice? To have them come with 320hp like the rest of the world.
  3. New Owners: Is it REALLY feasible to use CTR as a DD?

Also, how many miles are on your car? Seems a little early to be needing pads unless you track frequently
  4. New Owners: Is it REALLY feasible to use CTR as a DD?

Uhhh wut? How are 8 brake pads $1k? Are you having the stealership do it?
  5. Possible new 2019 CTR color ???

Probably because gt350 production numbers are vastly different from the gt350 numbers that DIDNT end up in a crowd of people. Canā€™t wait for the 2019ā€™s to come out and have the CTR market pull a BRZ/FRS market. Iā€™m thinking by year 3 of production, everyone who wanted one will have one and the...
  6. Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

Donā€™t doubt it. The guy seemed more clueless than anything. Guess Iā€™ll be making a road trip in the future but I kind of want to wait for the MY19ā€™s to roll out first. Hopefully the CTR market will do the same thing as the BRZ/FRS soon
  7. Weight reduction for the FK8

Weight reduction improves literally every single aspect of the car. If manufacturers would stop this horsepower war and instead focus on making cars lighter, maybe theyā€™d be able to meet the more stringent fuel economy standards as well as producing a generally better vehicle dynamically.
  8. Honda Civic Type-R Over sticker dealer naughty list.

Just stopped by my local stealer and asked if they had any CTRā€™s on the lot. They said they donā€™t have any more allotments and that Honda is done making the ā€˜18ā€™s for the year and have not confirmed a MY19. Is this true? Are all CTRā€™s spoken for as far as dealer assignment?
  9. Possible new 2019 CTR color ???

Screw that, if Iā€™m shelling out $35.5k + tax, title, and license I damned well better get every single detail I want in the car. If thatā€™s sonic grey then Iā€™m definitely conflicted between that and Aegean blue and champ white.
  10. Why is the Type-R so slow?

Sounds like another useless luxury feature OEMā€™s are making us buy these days. No turn signal = weight reduction!
  11. Why is the Type-R so slow?

    WTF is a turn signal?
  12. Why is the Type-R so slow?

Donā€™t forget their rod bearing issues for nearly all ///m engines since the e46.
  13. How much Doge can you haul?

Ok I'm glad someone got the doge reference. Anyway, seems like my 30 pounder would fit just fine but might be a bit of a squeeze for the other two since the civic's hatch is non conventional. It seems like it's almost more of a fastback than a hatch. I don't need to fit both of them in at the...
  14. How much Doge can you haul?

Oh trust me, I would limit their presence in the car as much as possible. The interior of my outback is all but destroyed haha
  15. How much Doge can you haul?

As the title asks, how much Doge have owners been able to fit in their CTRā€™s? I know I know, no food, drinks, or animals allowed in the car right? Well Iā€™m at witā€™s end with my POS Subaru and looking to replace it with possibly a CTR in the future. The CTR would be my daily and as such would be...
  16. The Infamous 2nd Gear Crunch

Sounds like it could be a manufacturing related defect and Honda is still trying to determine if their root cause analysis is correct. If this is the case then only time will tell
  17. The Infamous 2nd Gear Crunch

Just got done reading through all 58 pages of this thread and I have to say I'm a little disheartened and surprised by the way this has played out (what happened to "it's a Honda"?). I was pretty gung ho about converting from a tire kicker to actually getting the ball rolling on finding a CTR to...
