There is a massive update for the navigation, bluetooth and a few other issues with the car. Be sure to go in and get all the updates including the one for the transmission. Search the forums since I cant remember the update service numbers off hand and dont accept any BS response from the...

What changes to MPG have you seen with this? I am thinking of getting it also but do not want to lose any of my MPG since im constantly getting over 40MPG
  3. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

Day 2 update: Still running smoothly as silk, finally love my car.
  4. CVT surging up and down

Good news, the surging is gone after the update. Not one hint of a surging issue from Lynnwood Washington to Seattle which is normally plagued with surging. I'm pretty confident they did not do a battery reset sense that never resolved the problem in the past for me. The battery reset would only...
  5. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

Good news, my car did not surge once the entire time from Lynnwood Washington to Seattle. Only time will tell if the problem has been fixed butt all indicators are looking good. I'm pretty sure they did not do a battery reset because that never resolve my problem. The most it stayed gone was...
  6. CVT surging up and down

UPDATE: I took my car in today and at first it would not update, they said it had something to do with my car not being on the TSB for the issue. They called honda tech and they advised Honda my car does in fact have the issue and they were told to again update their interface and the laptop...
  7. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

Well supposedly the update has been applied to my car but I will not know if the problem has been fixed until I drive to work in a couple hours. I will definitely update everyone on this thread and the main one once I get to work. Fingers crossed that the update was actually applied and fixes...
  8. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

I couldn't agree more, tech support is having the dealer update the interface and the computer again and is telling them to try again. When asked what are they going to do if that doesn't work, they said tech didn't say nor did they ask. Sigh
  9. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

What is probably really going on is that your car is not included in the TSB. Same thing I'm being told, even though my car has had an open ticket for close to 2 months for this issue.
  10. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

I'm having the same issue, the dealer is saying my car is not listed under the TSB and won't update. Yet I have an open service ticket on the issue for over a month now. The car has been in 3 times for this one issue and im the touring with the 1.5T. I simply will not accept my car back until...
  11. 2016 Civic 1.5L Turbo Surges at Highway Speeds (45–70 MPH) S.B. #16-028

I'm at my dealer right now for the update, I do have an open ticket on the surging. Fingers crossed

They told me they download it and put it on a USB flash drive there
  13. CVT surging up and down

I just called my dealer and confirmed the update will be out tomorrow! I'm going in first thing Friday to get mine fixed!! Hell yes
  14. CVT surging up and down

I have been dealing with Honda USA and just the other day they finally confirmed there is a known issue and well as my dealer stating that Honda Tech has confirmed the issue and they are working on it. They are supposed to call me as soon as a fix comes out. But after today and my navigation...
  15. CVT surging up and down

What fix? So far all they do is disconnect the battery which just postpones the issue for a bit. Mine made it about 200 miles before surging again after the 2nd reset
  16. CVT surging up and down

The rattle is near the high mount brake light due to the sub. As for the surging, they probably didn't take the car on the highway. You should take it back and take them out for a ride and show them or take a video of it.

I have seen mine say there is an update available but its normally right after its been at the dealer and already got an update. SO this whole thing is rather confusing, maybe someday when I am not feeling to lazy I will check what map version I have and then check and see whats available...

Sorry for the delay, the new antenna did improve things a lot but it still not nearly as fast as my 14 CR-Z was. It now remembers where I am and says DR active when searching at the start and since it remembers where I am at it can start navigating right away.
  19. CVT surging up and down

I told the rep I did not want to take it in also for the same reason but he insisted, granted he is also very upset with my dealer for not fixing the rattles and for still not fixing the dash trim they damaged when they replaced the GPS antenna. He called and had a few words with the service...
  20. CVT surging up and down

Lets try and get back on topic though, has anyone heard anything about an update to fix the surging yet? I will be sending mine into the shop this week for the 2nd time about the surging as requested by Honda support.
