It's a matte plastic?. I would go with mr.clean magic eraser. If it's gloss/painted I would hand polish in circular motions with a polish from meguiar's or their scratch remover

You should just buy one brand new. If someone has one for sale they probably never used it and will sell it for close to the same price. These things are super hard to return to stock. I literally just parted out my FK7 and that was the only thing I just left because it wasn't worth the trouble.

I keep a bottle of hand sanitizer in the glovebox and always give my hands a thorough cleanse before touching the steering wheel if I've been out and about. If I"m leaving the house I always wash my hands with soap before leaving.
