  1. What did you do to your Civic today? (II)

I finally installed my front and rear dashcams. I picked them up just before Christmas, and just now got around to doing it. Thinkware Q800 Pro. The hardest part was getting the rear camera cable through the rubber tube connecting the hatch and the main body.
  2. DIY: Front/Rear Dashcam & Hardwire Install on '17 Hatchback

Thanks to the OP for the detailed write-up. The toughest part was getting the rear camera cable through the rubber tube, but I did manage using two zip ties. My rear camera connector is a bit on the large size for the tube and the pre-existing wires in there, so it took some patience to get it...

  11. Coronavirus...

Well, that rules out all of the U.S airlines right there.
  12. So how was your Friday the 13th? I bet mine was worse.

    Wow, my sincere condolences.
  13. Excessive oil dilution after TSB fix

Actually, the one that I was referencing is my fifth CivicX. I had a 2016 EX-T sedan for a year, and traded in prior to the oil dilution becoming "a thing". I leased another 2017 EX-T (CVT) for my daughter, and that was was just returned in December. I never allowed the dealer to perform the...
  14. How to Change Oil on 2016+ Civic 1.5L Turbo

I caught hell trying to get the two screws indicated with the green arrows to come off. They were so tight that a screwdriver was starting to strip it. I ended up getting a pair of vise grips to grab the head of the screw on the edge of both sides to get them to break loose.
  15. How to Change Oil on 2016+ Civic 1.5L Turbo

I went with Race Ramps RR-56. Very strong, yet lightweight. Easy to store as well.
  16. The Oil Thread

I definitely should have checked it on day one. I did check the tire pressure, but not the oil level. You would think with the automation of modern manufacturing that the oil would be metered somehow when initially filling the engine.
  17. The Oil Thread

It went above the orange plastic portion on the dipstick. I didn't precisely measure the amount, but when I emptied my oil drain pan into a one gallon jug, it filled an empty one completely and some more went into a partially full jug. For full disclosure, I also did not check the level when I...
  18. The Oil Thread

First oil change on a 2020 EX hatch at 4055 miles. Fuel smell in the cabin on restarts after sitting for a short period, and a rising dipstick level from when the car was first delivered. If the car sits for several hours, there is no fuel smell on restart. MM indicated 60% oil life at the time...
  19. Excessive oil dilution after TSB fix

First oil change at 4055 miles. MM indicated 60% oil life remaining, but I chose to change early due to fuel smell upon restarting after short trips and the dipstick level increasing. If I drove to work and it sat all day, then there would never be a fuel smell on restart. But, if I drove to the...
  20. Going from 16” rims to 18” rims on LX Hatchback need tire size suggestions.

As @gtman suggests, just go with the 235/40/18. It's what the factory puts on the models with 18 inch wheels, and your speedo will still be on the money.
