Are you offering him your car? Or your girlfriend?
I'm kidding, of course - cars have issues -even beloved Honda. Hell, my paint job is shit and its from the factory, they're gonna be repainting including the bumper (of a less than 3 month old vehicle, they should be swapping...
My BNP isn't a touring, so no chrome handles (as you see in my pics) - however; I had the side chrome affixed before the front chrome and it seemed off, the front chrome light area garnish connected the lower side chrome, so to speak to the front.
I like that the side chrome balances the top...
In my earlier post, I think Aegean could go either way. Being a sportier color, it's up in the air.
Colors that look better with more chrome:
Burgundy Night Pearl
Cosmic Blue
Crystal Black
Colors that go either way:
Aegean Blue
Rally Red
White Orchid Pearl
Colors that would look off aka...
I think the chrome accents of either front or side look better on darker colors, where as white would look best with the shiny black grille and dark tint and black rims.
Finally done with chrome :)
Had the side chrome installed for a while; was waiting on my Thailand front chrome.
Looks good on Burgundy Night Pearl (prolly would not look as goon on WOP, MSM, LSM or RR - might work okay on AB (sportier color, so up in the air). Definitely would look best on...
I'm interested to see what this looks like.
Today, I had my appt at the dealership, with the manager - he took photos to send over to Honda and assuming he gets easy approval, he said this could be resolved quickly. I would be taking it to the dealerships' Factory certified Honda Collision/body...
My chrome front light trim came in (I have an EX w/out the light cut outs, sure they'll fit).
My question:
How did you install them? They didn't come with directions and there is no holes for the screws and pegs, I'm thinking I need to dremmel grind the pegs off?
I'd appreciate your insight...
I spoke with my tint guy yesterday, as he had to redo sligh bubbling in a window and he has 20+ years of experience and working with dealerships:
He believes the peeling at the rear panel is a firmest issue, snagged at install when car as assembled.
The spot on The door, he said looked to him...
That's the spot - there was actually a fanned out piece of paint, which caught my attention - almost as if it's rubbing from pressure. I touched the fanned out pice and it flaked off. Worrying, as I love the car - but a repaint - especially if non factory, on the seam and doing the door too...
The picture with the blob, is on the rear driver side door panel.
The second set is the back slant seam, where the rear bumper meets the body - by the tire.
I'm worried the dealership will say I damaged it somehow, when I've never physically touched tended the paint.
I do touchless washes, to...
i purchased my Civic at the very tail end on January - love the car - but I've got some paint issues.
I've heard issues of body shops not matching the factory paint perfectly, though, should I expect a dealership fight on these?
I've never washed my vehicle by hand and I want this fixed, as I...
My pics are posted earlier in the thread.
I've recently installed the Chrome side garnish, viewed in some of the other owners' pics and ordered the front garnish from Thailand - also tinted the Windows.
I'll update with pics when the front garnish arrive :)
I love that this color shifts from...
Hey! Cool thing about this: it's the same color I have :)
It's a Burgundy Night Pearl, notice how it almost appears black (until you see the burgundy show on the bottom of the front grill/bumper) -
Sad to see a new X totaled, though
I adore this car, other than being new and otherwise fantastic, it's the adoration that makes this hard. I had hopes that this car would be the perfected Civic and rock solid - after 9 major iterations, they'd have it down for no. 10.
To have a car a week old; more so this platform model has...
