  1. Car moves when parked on slopes

My 2018 Si started to roll when parked in gear the first time I fueled up, no way it was the clutch, I would have seen other issues since then. I just had to get in the habit of looking for the red ebrake light every time I shut my car off.
  2. LED LIGHTING

That's how I hooked up my interior RGB strips, worked like a charm.

  4. LED LIGHTING

Buy an Add-a-circuit kit for dirt cheap and use a circuit in the fuse box that comes on with the key (find the info in your car manual). If you hook straight to the battery they'll be on 24/7 and drain your battery. Make sure you don't overload the circuit though and never put in a fuse of...
  5. Keyfob hacked....

Anyone know if the proximity function where you don't have to press a button to lock/unlock would be vulnerable in the same way? As soon as I grab my door handle the doors unlock and when I'm 10'-15' away it all locks on it's own.
  6. Poll: Are you keeping your 10th Gen or getting an 11th Gen?

I went from an 8th to a 10th gen as I didn't feel like the 9ths were different enough. Given this will likely be the last gen for coupes I may hold onto this one for way longer, plus I've only put on 11K KM (7K miles) in 3 years so it should be good for another 35 years haha.
  7. How rare or common to spot a Type R in your general area?

Very rare, maybe twice a year, but I don't get out tons or drive very far (7 minute commute to work and 18 months of mostly working from home).
  8. Swap USB cables around? Yes, it works!

I tried too, same deal, it even pops up on the display that you must plug your phone into a port with a picture of a smartphone on it for it to work. Odd that the port in the centre console can read a USB stick for music (that's all I use) but not a phone for AA/CP.
  9. Swap USB cables around? Yes, it works!

Good point, now I want to try this in mine (though I've used AA maybe 5 times). Have you tried both ports OP before hacking stuff up? So many small differences in trims as well as Canadian vs US models. I'll aim to report back as to if both work in mine.
  10. Lloyd Floor Mats

2 years later and only about 5000 KM (~3000 miles) with the Lloyd ultimat mats and the driver's side by gas/brake is wearing through from my heel to the point that it allows moisture through to the carpet underneath. These didn't even last as long as stock, not impressed. I wonder if warranty...
  11. Tuning a 10th gen daily driver... just do it!

In general I'm curious as to what this brings to the table, I've seen a few posts where 1st gear has the max PSI lowered. If I don't want to go crazy in 1st I just ease up on the throttle, but I like max power to be there when I want it. Is 23+ PSI in 1st rough on the clutch or anything else?
  12. KTuner On The Fly Map Switching **How To**

I had trouble hunting down this procedure when I first got my KTuner so I thought I'd post it to help others. Skip to 11:30 to see how to switch maps on the fly. Unfortunately the video is missing a very important piece of info so I'll outline the process here quickly. Start your car, the...
  13. What tune or software gets flashed when going back to stock?

Disregard, KTuner corrected me. My apologies if I caused any confusion.
  14. The Tuned CivicX Experience & Reliability Thread (for all models)

Vehicle: 2018 Si coupe Total tuned time: Only a few days Tuned miles driven: 100KM Tuning device(s) used: KTuner V1.2 Tunes used: TSP Stage 1 Fuel used: Shell 91 Additional related mods: Nuttin' honey Problems/issues: None Driving style: Summer conditions will be map 3, sport on all the...
  15. Tuning a 10th gen daily driver... just do it!

Got my Ktuner v1.2 set up over the weekend and I first tried the included tunes and was a bit underwhelmed with the power increase. I don't know why but I was expecting more, I do think though that had I stuck with it for a while then gone back to stock I would have appreciated the difference a...
  16. Tuning a 10th gen daily driver... just do it!

^The TSP tune is on sale now too (maybe it always is, I dunno), for the low price I'm definitely gonna want to go for the little extra bump on top of the starter tunes, but I appreciate the recommendation!
  17. Tuning a 10th gen daily driver... just do it!

This thread seems like a good fit for my scenario. My Si coupe daily driver is barely driven, especially last year with working from home, I only fueled up 3 times all year! My commute to work is only about 5 mins so in 3 years of ownership I'm a bit over 11,000 KM (6800 miles). I've heard...
  18. Mazda3 GT Turbo

Why buy a Type-R for $43K CAD when you can get a Mz3GTT for $37 CAD. More TQ on the Mazda (320 vs 295), more HP on the R (306 vs 250). Engine isn't everything but the Mz3GTT interior has a lot to say too. My wife got one a couple of months ago and it's forking incredible. I love my 2018 Si but...
  19. Fastest phone charge options?

Depends on the charger you plug into the cig lighter, even though the port itself can do 2.0A that charger may be anything at or below that. Fast charging can reduce battery life in the long run, though many smartphones these days are getting, well, smarter about that. Save the fast charging for...
  20. Cabin Air Filter Service for $80 (LOL)

Looks like this one should fit for us up north - https://www.amazon.ca/MAP-1044C-Replacement-Activated-ODYSSEY/dp/B01C5GYVXI/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=Honda%7C59&Model=Civic%7C752&Year=2018%7C2018&ie=UTF8&n=6948389011&s=automotive&vehicleId=2&vehicleType=automotive&th=1 I only changed...
