Good looking ride. I hope your 2019 stays tight finish wise. I traded my 2018 HB ST (Orchid Pearl White) with 16K on the clock and I had multiple rattles that convinced me to bail out...that and I wanted back into a truck. I was unhappy...at the price point, that the finish wasn't tighter on...
I bailed out of my 2018 HB Sport Touring last week. I bought it new in March and traded it in with 16,000 miles on it.
Couple of reasons...and #1 was the amount of rattles that developed. I ended up with a center dash rattle, a glovebox rattle, a door tweeter rattle (housing rubbing not a blown...
Me and wife are early 40's....no accidents, tickets...nothing. We have 2 of the 2018 Civic HB Sport Tourings...they only cost us $420 every 6 months for each one...full coverage, $200 deductible for windshields, $250 deductible for comp/collision, and includes a 20% over market value safety net...
10,400 miles on my 2018 ST Hatchback....averaging...HAND CALCULATED right at 36.7 over that entire stretch. I am about 80% highway driving. Best tank was hand calculated at 40.1 mpg. My gauge is usually a good 1.3 to 1.7 mpg too high vs. hand calculated.
I have since cleaned out the P and R in Sport so it looks better. This has been on now for nearly quite a while now...been through about 12 washes and so far it hasn't shown any wear at all.
Get your manual out and reset. Had same thing happen to mine. You have to hold the lever back for like 30 seconds or something with the car running and the lights on. That may not all be right...but it is close. The manual will tell you.
They are romancing you also...keep that in mind when your trying to work your deal today or whenever you do it.
I assure you...that "$2000" more you will get will go somewhere...somehow into your next vehicle...via interest rate, or final price. You can work it down, and I would suggest playing...
Here are a few brand new ones....now they may be click bait and you get stiffed when you come in, but I would tend to think they could get popped by a state AG for unethical practices....these are listed on CarGurus UNDER msrp.
White Orchid Pearl
Would go to PMM or the SPG. My wife drives an SPG Sport Touring....we love that color on it. I wouldn't change from the white however....I really like it.
On my truck, I stuck them about 5" back from the connectors at the led housing. I didn't try other positions, as this took care of my issue. You would just have to try one out and see what you get. I had several laying around the house that came with other electronics...otherwise you can buy...
Might try a ferrite coil instead of more electrical tape. I had that happen on some LED fog lights I had on my last truck. It caused an issue in the radio. Radio was picking up noise from the lines. Installed ferrite coils and no more issues.
For reference, I was 10 months into my 36 month lease. I didn't do a down payment, so I didn't have equity from the get go...as soon as I drove it off the lot, I was in the hole.
Been there and done that. Here is my opinion....
Option 1 is your best bet. But modified. I would take the shitbox....and drive it 3 days a week, while driving your car 2 days a week. That way, you knock off 240 miles a week on yours (damn near 1000 a month)...while still enjoying yours for...
How did you prep the chrome? I did all of the rear badges on my car....5 coats...so used maybe half a can and didn't have any issues. I washed the emblems first, dried them, then cleaned with 70% isopropyl alcohol. Did them back in May, and haven't had anything chip or rub away. Have washed...
I have a 2018 HB ST and 4 months later, I have a small rattle from both back doors (I suspect the tweeters in the upper door panel), I have a central dash rattle, and a rattle from both front doors.
That may sound horrific, but none of them are a bother really. It is only when I am on rough...
I have a 2018 HB Sport Touring....just crossed 9K miles today...have owned approximately 4 months and some change. I have averaged right around 36-37MPG hand calculated. Car tells me I have averaged around 38-40mpg. That's why I have a fuelly account and upload receipts to get the true...no...
